Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

I paid for the room on Booking.com when I checked in they charge me another $180.00 when I already paid for the room in advance they told me it was taken off so I will be checking. Wasn’t happy on that.

We were not able to get the shade up in our room so it was a bit dark for my liking in the morning. It was a short stay so we didn’t ask for it to be fixed. I think you have to request for room service which we didn’t know so we returned to our room after being out and it had not been serviced. They only put two sets of towels in the room and we are a family of four so we had to ask for extra sets each day.
The facilities are beautifully done and comfortable. The bistro food is good. Breakfast was great and lunch/dinner was great also.

Advertise breakfast with rate and upon check-in the receptionist stated I would have to pay for breakfast. Produced my email confirmation and after speaking with a couple of the I received a voucher for the breakfast

we could hear the neighbors tv whenever it was on.
the building is absolutely beautifully redone. the room was spacious and my husband loved the fitness center.

NO restaurant. NO bar. Food at grab and go completely and totally over priced...$4.00 for a bottle of water?!! Would be a perfect venue for weddings and receptions if you find a viable food and beverage provider. Understand the area around you is not optimal...but you need to cater to a more upscale crowd.
Clean, modern, nice. Easy to reach location. Very nice rebuild of a building.

Breakfast was in a sack (because of Covid-19). The employee handing out breakfast both days acted like she had other places to be. Not friendly at all. The first night the fire alarm went off five times from 8:00 pm to 3:30 am.
The room was amazing. You could have held a dance in there with all the space. Love the idea of refurbishing an old factory building into a hotel. View not the greatest.

The lack of communication the front desk attendant gave me at check in. I was not aware that there were no daily housekeeping. Although one of the staff cleaners told me you have to request 24 hours in advance if you need your room serviced.
The location is very convenient for me to meet my clients without having to travel out of the way for a good hotel. The rooms and hotel cleanliness was above average.

Still pretty dumbfounded that the restaurant/bar still isn’t operational, what a cash flow that would be. Have to order DoorDash if you don’t have a ride to get to a restaurant. Travelled for work as usual

I called to the front desk to let them know they're ice machine wasn't working and they did absolutely nothing and didn't even offer to help or get it fixed. The woman that was serving breakfast seemed upset or not happy to be at work.

The pool was closed, the breakfast was bagged and not very many options, and the restaurant in the hotel is permanently closed.
I liked that it was the Old John Deere Warehouse! It was very clean and SUPER spacious. The rooms were huge, and the outdoor sitting area was gorgeous!

The lack of front desk service when we requested towels. The person seemed bothered by the request and responded that they were out of towels with no status of when the towels would be clean to send more up.

The pool was closed due to Covid (the sign on the door stated this.) When we asked about a swimming pool prior to seeing the sign, we were told it was under renovation. Kind of ruins credibility when staff lie to you.

From the time we walked in the doors to the time we left, we felt welcomed and comfortable! The room was huge and the beds were super comfortable. Rhonda in the bar took good care of us even when she was very busy and keeping up with a rowdy crowd of drinkers! Knowing some history of the building made it extra special to be there.

The fact that I spent $534 there for a room on 29 March was told by several employees that my deposit of $200 was released at the time of check out. It is now been almost a month later, and I still have not received my deposit back, my bank says they can’t do anything until the courtyard Cancels the transaction. I spoke with several staff members and have gotten nothing solved and still do not have my money back.
