Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaMy room didn’t match the exact photos but it was definitely close enough! If that weren’t the case I would have been really disappointed. Though it’s not like a hotel and was not expected, having a TV would be a nice touch.
Ease of check in and out, good bed, secure locks, privacy, quiet, convenient location.

IndiaThere are few negative ( personal factors like elderly woman , foreigner) Please Highlight in intro. No ELEVATOR ! At my age , and small size of stairs- I was shocks that I have to go to first floor. I almost fell while doing so. Locality seems to be little isolated and for a foreigner, travelling alone, one must consider it..These are apartments and two are joined with one common place. No hotel staff and no usual lobby. Therefore, who is sitting next door is very important. In my case, probably some one really good was there or may be there was none. Kitchen: no utensils to cook. Whatever was available - it was clean. A free big area but racks etc may be more nicely kept
GOOD POINTS First: ( please also see the subsequent para)Neat and clean room at low price. Bed sheet etc! Toilet nice. Tap/ flush/ shower functioning ; hot water available. Wi- Fi: Great access; There is no TV ? Why ? One could be Atleast a common place. Therefore, great place particularly for short stay! Though place is in one corner of university city- but u can easily access market street in 10-15 min walk. Being an Indian I looked for Indian restaurant and I found “Virasat” after crossing Market street. One Indian sizzler is also there at Lancaster- Powelton junction.

CanadaOne negative was the lack of cleanliness. Mainly the common kitchen area. It felt as though a group of students had just moved out and there wasn't time to clean it before we arrived. Luckily we really didn't need that space so it didn't effect our stay. Might have been a one off, not sure.
We chose Cozy bedrooms because we needed separate rooms for different family members. It was perfect for that. The location is a bit north of the UPenn campus. About a 15 minute walk which suited us as well. Parking was not really available on the street nearby so we chose to park on campus and Uber when needed or walk which worked out.

United States of AmericaThe location seemed a bit sketchy to walk back to late at night. Also, it was mostly cleaned but there was dirt and an empty snack bag under the bed.
A lock to enter the building and another lock to enter my room - very secure! Room was spacious with big windows. Shared kitchen area seemed good and accessible, though I didn't use it due to my own schedule. Shower and bathroom in my room with plenty of hot water.

JapanThe water pressure in the shower was too low, and I wasn't able to properly lock the bathroom window. Also I wish a pair of slippers were available because the floor was cold. The AC/heating apparently has a single setting for the entire house, which may be cost-inefficient and/or lead to dispute with the other guests in the house. Some other reviews said it is difficult to find parking, and yeah, that seemed to be the case though I didn't need it.
The room had all the basics and was sufficiently clean. Especially the private bathroom was nice. The owner responds to messages quite fast. The common area looked OK, didn't use it though. The entire place was a lot quieter than expected, though I think I was mostly alone during my stay. Outside noise was very tolerable.

GermanyThe neighborhood. 10 streets further west were shootings and 4 people got shot during my 2 Day stay! Streets were quite dirty as well. Other tenders had a really loud argument. But all in all the clean, nice room made me feel really comfortable while I was staying there. Also during the day you could hear car alarms and you could here the police 24/7 but it was never so loud that it was a problem
- it was very clean - check-in worked flawless - wifi worked fine - very spacious - although the neighborhood was shady, 5 streets further east it was a whole other world and it didn't seem shady at all

United States of AmericaBed was moderately comfortable and heard the neighbors moving around. Nothing crazy, just know you're not getting the Ritz at Super 8 prices.
Great value, location, and very easy check-in/out process. Common spaces were decent enough, and for the price I didn't expect anything super fancy. Met all of my needs for an overnight, and would book again if I'm in the area.
