Outside space was Ok but affected by a loose gutter joint so could be wet.

The key code was provided a day early which was useful. Facilities were good. The area was fine. We found free parking on 19th and above streets which was only 200m away - wished we knew this before we arrived.

The apartment was full of character and charm. It was clean and very comfortable. The building was secure and in a great location with lots of things to do within walking distance. It was quiet enough to be able to work if needed at the great desk space and not so quiet that one would feel completely isolated. The host was very communicative and friendly! Loved the patio space and privacy of it! The kitchen was great to cook in too!

The weather. But we enjoyed outdoor activities (Botanical Gardens and the Canal Walk) before the rain and indoor activities (Poe Museum and the Civil War Museum) once the rains came . While we did not plan to eat there, there was no dining table.

The living room was distinct and separate from the bedroom. The apartment was roomier than expected.Well stocked kitchen .

However, I must mention that while the apartment itself was lovely, the location left a little to be desired, especially when it came to safety concerns. During the day, the neighborhood seemed decent enough, and I had no issues while exploring nearby attractions. However, as the evening approached, the area's safety became more of a concern. I would advise future guests to be cautious and avoid walking alone in the neighborhood after dark. If you plan to stay out late or return to the apartment late at night, consider using a rideshare service or a taxi to ensure your safety.

if you’re a light sleeper it might be a bit of a nightmare. i’m not sure if the upstairs neighbors are residents or visitors as well but you hear every single step they take and they also had a dog. they were the typical noisy upstairs neighbors but it’s probably not even their fault it might just be how the building was made.

this place was a very convenient location it puts you within walking distance of a lot of cute bars and shops. the actual apartment area is nice too there’s nice lighting in each room and the bathroom doesn’t feel like a tiny closet space. there’s a full size kitchen with all the essentials. the layout is quite interesting it’s not a regular square shaped unit and you also have a small back door patio space in between the alley ways. everything seemed very clean and the bed was pretty comfortable. other than the noise it is a very cute and spacious unit and clean and cozy. there’s extra throw blankets around and plenty of extra towels. the shower has great water pressure and hot water comes pretty easily.

Ground floor and easy access, directions to and instructions to get into the apartment clear and easy to use. Lots of kitchen appliances and utensils, bed very comfortable. Really close to food places especially Jewfro, some of the best meals ever made at Jewfro.

Shockoe Bottom has had its ups and downs, and the neighborhood around the property is pretty sketchy, especially at night. However, the alley where the entrance was located was well lit and the building felt secure. The location is actually near a lot of things to do - restaurants, coffee shops, the Canal Walk. The internet wasn't working when I got there (wrong network and password), but I was able to troubleshoot it and figure out the problem after about 24 hrs. Not what I wanted to be doing on my vacation. The apartment is drafty due to a poorly sealed but locked door that appears to go out on a patio. Fortunately, the weather warmed up somewhat so it wasn't a big issue after the first two nights. A lamp on the desk in the bedroom would really help with the lighting situation.

The property was very clean and nicely decorated. The property manager was very responsive to the internet problem I was having, and also allowed me a later checkout, which was very much appreciated.

Worst experience I’ve ever had. Not a place to rest & relax. It was dangerous after dark. The first night, my boyfriend & I passed several people who were under the influence of something & wanting to fight. There were raging parties both nights. The nearby music was so loud it felt like we were trying to sleep in a night club. It didn’t stop until after 3 AM both nights. The upstairs neighbor who lives there was rearranging furniture at 1 AM. We woke up to cigarette butts thrown from above onto the patio. What a disappointment. The unit was so nice but Richmond is a waste land. Some guy felt it appropriate to blast music on his cellphone and rest it on the outside bedroom windowsill while he rearranged his drugs. I watched for a little bit before knocking on the glass & shooing him away. I never write bad reviews but I really hated it here. I suppose it’s not so bad if you plan to party the entire time. Quiet hours begin at 10pm but no one enforces or abides by them so just do whatever you please.

The property was decorated nicely, clean, and equipped with the essentials.

Staff was incredibly rude when I called for help. See picture below for listed check in time. I checked in around 6:30pm. When a customer calls for help don’t tell them you have other things to do. You have no idea the situations I was in during that call. Not the safest location. Homeless people right outside the gates. Rats in the alley, mice tried getting in the crack of the door in the living room. We had to shove towels in the crack. No dining table to sit at. Booking needs a better platform so renters can find check in/ check out instructions easier.
