The restaurant wasn't our cup of tea. There was only one waiter but I get it, midweek you're not expecting a lot of people which, there was. The food was not great for the price in my opinion.

The hotel was great. For me personally, it had that "Shining" vibe to it. Kind of a strange location with all the residential homes surrounding it, but not a turn off. The room was large, clean & easily accessible. The beds were very comfortable.

The dinner this time around was not pleasant. The team may have been understaffed but we had to seat ourselves, grab our own menus, and waited about 30min or longer to get attended. I’ve eaten there before and had great service. This time was just a miss.

The entirety of the experience was great and walking the premises was fun.

Some of the public areas could use a little TLC.

The Hayes Mansion is a beautiful property with an historic feel. We enjoyed breakfast on the patio, swimming in the pool, and reading and relaxing in many lovely sitting areas. We explored the mansion and read about the history in a small exhibit in the hotel for guests. There is a large park adjacent to the hotel with trails and a large playground. The Mansion is in a quiet neighborhood in San Jose.

There were about 6-8 drunk guests in the pool in the early hours of the morning that woke up my 2 kids and I up for a couple hours. Did not see any attempt from staff to tell them to leave so that was a little frustrating.

The staff were all nice and professional. The dinner we had was very good and not too pricy.

Pool area could use a bit of an upgrade, but it wasn’t bad, just basic.

What a beautiful property! I wasn’t expecting such a gem to pop up in the middle of an otherwise unremarkable neighborhood. Love all the decorations and furniture!

$15 to pay for parking is ridiculous. And parking is limited causing myself and my 83 year old mother to have to drag our bags across the hotel property.

This was our 20 year wedding anniversary and I reserved a room with a balcony via Trip Advisor. What we got was a room with windows we couldn't keep open ecause they had no window screens. We were told they had to move us due to the noise from the wedding reception the night we checked in and the prom night the next evening. Had I known all this was going to take place as well as not have a balcony, we never would have booked our stay there. This place came highly recommended to us, which is why we cancelled our other reservation at another place U had booked the day before. Also, the eggs at breakfast diidnt taste very good. Both my husband and I felt I'll afterwards which is why we left the hotel without eating before we checked out the next day. I did let the lady know of our experience when I checked out. We paid for breakfast for ,2 days when I booked our room. Maybe the eggs were supposed to be prepared in the manner that they were but we've never experienced that type before...it upset our stomachs

Kelsey from the Front Desk was amazing. Cullan the bartender was good.The first night qaa ruff as the guest next to us were up all night. Kept us up most of the night. The pillows were so unconfortable the first night they were totally flat. It was not a good rest. The second night was way better as we got extra pillows and tjere was no noise at all so we were well rested.

Only had two kurig pods for coffee and tea! Wish there were several to chose from! Also ceramic mugs would have been nicer than cheap plastic cups! Bathroom: no accessories like shower cap, etc Free Bottled waters in room would have been nice! Heater in room did not work

Was not expecting an actual mansion. Beautiful property, clean beautiful rooms. Nice little water bottle stations everywhere.
