I wish I had known in advance the restaurant and bar would only be open on the weekend also I guess because of Covid daily room cleaning has stopped. Reserved parking would have been great... The huge wedding party took all the spots in the back and in the evening I did not like walking alone back to my room in the dark from the only spot way up front.

Nice property. Very glad the wonderful wedding celebration could not be heard in my room.

Everything was clean & parking was so easily accessible. The property was also very nice. It’s located in a quiet neighborhood but still “secluded” enough to feel like you’re away on vacay. It was a great place to stay without having to go too far & spending too much for a weekend trip. Perfect for a chill and relaxing weekend.

Our room 250 was near the next door neighbor residential area with a dog barking non stop. A large India Wedding was very active on the mansion grounds. Which means plenty of loud music and limited parking nearby.

The Hayes Mansion Property (itself) was excellent. The residential area surrounding the property appears to have grown up after its construction.

It’s easy to get lost!! And a bit scary. The hotel is split in half so there’s the original mansion side where the hotel lobby in is located and there’s a newer side but they didn’t tell us that. So as I went to pick up my DoorDash order I took the 1st elevator I seen (on the lobby side) and I ended up on the same floor as mine but in a completely different building. And to make matters worse, some of the hallways lead to dead ends and let you go in a full circle until you realize you’re back at the same dead in (creepy if you’ve ever toured Winchester myself house.. gives you that vibe being lost) so all I’d say if that they should make it clear that there’s 2 different buildings so the floors don’t match up..

The grounds are absolutely beautiful! The greenery and the gardens are amazing. The hotel inside is beautiful and vintage making you feel like royalty! There’s soo much to see if you walk around the hotel. The rooms are a good size and the beds were pretty comfortable.

The breakfast used to be excellent. Not so much now. A high school poem was going on. So I couldn’t find a parking space had to park on the street and I paid for parking. Music was loud until 11 o’clock at night. Had early morninganHad early morning flight, could not Sleep. Until after midnight. But even with that I will definitely stay here again.

Loved this hotel but been a few years since the last time I was here. The campus is beautiful. The location is perfect. Beautiful building beautiful rooms.

No valet/service/helper whatsoever! We arrived at 7pm from SFO and leave at 7h30 am. It was raining a lot and no one helped us with our luggages. Anyway, our room is in another building so we have to carry everything outside to another building and up to the 2nd floor. But the elevator was out of service. Really? Same routine the following morning. We had breakfast (the only option is buffet) for ($24 pre tip/tax). Pretty expensive for some bread/egg/bacon... but the lady working/cooking/serving there, at least, was lovely. After complaining before we leave, I was generously offered a snack/water which is a disgraceful.

The room/bed is nice/comfy. The furnitures/decorations near the front desk look good/warmth.

There should at least be complimentary coffee and tea for guests. Having to pay $4.00 for them at the cost of the rooms is greedy.

The facility is beautiful and impressive. The historic features add a unique touch with elegance.

Limited restaurant options. Poor house keeping services. The house keeping staff missed our room two consecutive days. Car theft in the lot, the car next to ours got broken into, tons of glasses were by our car which made it very difficult to drive our. Check in lobby did not have any ramps, we had to haul out lugguge up and down to check in. No assistance provided, very bare bone service

They charge for parking. And there's a lot of perfume in the lobby. Cheaper hotels tend to do that--mask other smells like pets or whatever with air fresheners. Also, the payment policy was weird, it charged my card several times but then dropped off after a week. The beds were a little old and less comfortable.

It's a good location and more reasonably priced than other properties. It's a pretty building.

Pictures are deceiving. This property is in a neighborhood with limited parking. To get to your room is a mission on it's on as I promise you, you will get lost the first time. This place is overpriced and not worth the stay with better options available at the same price point.

Bed was probably the only thing great about the stay.

    Stronger espressos!

The entire team - like every touchpoint - from the front desk, to restaurant, to folks encountered on the property - were all acting above and beyond. I was always greeted with a hello; staff always sought to do more for me to make my stay comfortable. Maggie did the fastest check in ever to make sure I could make a meeting on arrival. And the retreat is a super place to clear the mind and focus. Thank you!

Very old fashioned, I believe this property needs some updating. Looks a lot nicer in pics! Staff at reception were unhelpful and had a bad attitude. The layout was quite confusing and it took about 15 minutes to find my room carrying heavy suitcases. No one offered to help me with this. The bed didn't feel clean and I felt very itchy. No showercap supplied. There was no room service. Breakfast ends at 10am. I think 11am would be more ideal. Was told to drop off laundry by 10am. When I arrived before 10am they said it was too late and collected at 9am. They don't let you use the pool on the same day of check out, once you check out. Many other hotels allow this. I was standing in line at the reception desk and when it was my turn I asked for them to call a cab for us. The young woman at the desk seemed to have a problem with this, she said she had to prioritise other customers and made me wait 20 minutes. Very rude.

The room size was great, decor in the room was nice.

The grounds, the historical aspect, the many terraces, the landscape, the room was also very clean and bed comfortable. We loved it so much, we made a reservation to stay again in a week when we drive back to San Jose.
