Great location as we booked to go whale watching from the harbour, limited amount of places to eat locally without driving but found Harpoon Henry’s on the harbour very good although quite expensive. Great room with two beds and a balcony on the ground floor with good view of the harbour,

Great location. Cute courtyard. Really good hot breakfast with made to order waffles. Night clerk was friendly and informative. Perfect 1 night stop for what I was looking for.

The breakfast was okay. Would have liked some egg dishes. The clothes hangars were weird- touching them caused them to fall apart.

The room was comfortable and quiet for the most part. Conveniently located near the front desk.

The parking lot filled very quickly, but it was a Saturday and I’m sure we weren’t the only family staying whilst our high schoolers attended prom at the nearby Ocean Institute.

The location was ideal, and the staff members were very friendly.

Loved the location to the harbour and beach. The walks around the marina were excellent and the amenities in the area all close by.

The inside is pretty bare bones. There's no art on the walls in the hallways (and the elevator creaks) so it has a sort of empty ghosttown feeling. But, honestly, I think it's worth it for the deal.

This is a great little find on the Harbor. It's close to downtown Dana Point and, from what I can tell, it's the best deal in town. It's also surrounded by the cute harbor shops and restaurants. Beautiful view and very helpful staff.

Staff very kind to assign a room in a quiet location and deliver a luggage cart to the parking lot. Hotel in walking distance to good food options

It was old but with an ongoing renovation (Feb 2024) so it’s probably going to be better if you go now. Breakfast pretty unhealthy, didn’t include any vegetables (but had some apples)

Weather too cold for pool, better luck next visit. I've stayed several times before, the breakfast has gone downhill, now with no eggs, bacon, etc. only cereals and the waffle-machine's Teflon surface did not release the waffle. Many guests had dogs - I didn't like the thought of them having been on the carpet-flooring (next time I'll ask for a non-dog room, if they exist).

This is a great location with good walks around quayside and up hill into the shopping/gallery Del Prado Avenue area. A small beach is nearby, and whale watching trips leave from near the hotel. Restaurants nearby are to suit all pockets, but a couple are very expensive. Good value for money, but parking is $15/day for the week I stayed. Helpful, very friendly staff.

The hotel could use a refresh. The faucet in the tub dripped a lot. The walls are thin so we could hear everything from our neighbors.

The best thing about the hotel is the location. We loved walking all around the marina and liked that there were many restaurant choices within walking distance. The room was clean and bed was comfortable.

The room didn't feel clean when we got in. There was some kind of odor in the room. The light by the door was not working. The second day, I hang the sign requesting room to be cleaned on the door knob, but it didn't work. When I asked why, I was told that I should have told the front desk to resquest room cleaning.

The location is great! It is close to resturants, beaches and shopping area and it is peaceful.
