Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The sofa was uncomrtable, there were a few missing items in the kitchen, there were issues with opening the door when coming back from the gym/pool

The pool was a little small if there are a lot of people in it. If you have smaller children , it may be difficult for you to walk to attractions without a stroller.
It was spacious and clean. There was a gym, coffee shop, and pool.

We did care for the TV because we only had 3 channels but ask a Sonder employee to assist us and he showed up how to connect to the TV with our phones! He was friendly and helpful! After that No TV issues
Our stay was great, we all were very happy with our apartment! Clean, spacious, and great location walking distro almost every thing! I would definitely book again with Sonder Canal!

The hard plastic kitchen chairs were very uncomfortable. The couch in the living room should be replaced.
Our 1 bedroom unit was huge! It was extremely clean and also very quiet. The kitchen cupboards were well stocked with dishes etc. The appliances looked new and everything worked well. The in-suite washer and dryer was very much appreciated! The building is nicely located, close to shops and attractions.

Elevator code process seemed a bit harder than you might expect. Some areas are nearing the time for some maintenance.

The pool is tiny, and is misrepresented by the photos on Booking.com. Verging on dishonesty. There was only one lounger in the pool area. We chose this accommodation over others because of the pool, so very disappointed in this aspect.

Kitchen was not well equipped such as only one saucepan, no frypan., no oven baking tray. Major problem was lack of ventalaion when using Cooktown, smells went straight back into apartment. Also no windows could be open One of the beds was only a double so not very big

there was no blanket and sheets for a sofa bed and it took more than two hours for us to get it at night, it would be better if there was a cutting board in the kitchen,

A few kitchen towels would have been helpful. The building air exchange vent is right outside of one of the bedrooms and is very noisy (and impossible to turn off) so we had the sleep with the door closed.

There was no TV. Only a Chromecast that allowed us to watch Netflix or YouTube via own Mobile devices. But no TV so we couldn't watch the American channels, morning shows or sports. This was a big minus.
This was our first time at Sonder. All expectations but one were exceeded. The location was perfect. 10mins walk from the Bourbon street & French quarter and there is a streetcar stop in front of the hotel. We didn't need an Uber the whole week. Only for grocery shopping. Also the WW II museum and sport venues are 15-20mins walk away.. or via the public transportation. We used the street cars almost every day. The apartment was very nice. Very well equipped kitchen allowed us to Cook our own breakfasts and some meals too. Comfy beds, very nice bathroom and we loved the roof terrace with a pool.

Having to walk down 15 floors, 2 nights in a row, due to a fire alarm glitch...
The apartment had all needed amenities for our 5 days stay. Very clean, quite and close to main street. Roof top pool and area is a great plus.

The fire alarm went off twice in 5 nights. It is a long way down from the 17th floor, top floor. Better safe than sorry! One of the nights was a smoker in the stairwell on the 6th floor-can't control stupid.
Location was great. The building was great as was the room.
