Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of America- My only minor complaint about the room was that I wish the desk were a bit bigger; it was basically just a table to hold the ice bucket, and barely fit my two laptops. - In general, the location wasn't quite as convenient as I would have liked; bus 20 goes past the hotel, but there aren't any subway stops within walking distance, so I ended up taking Lyft almost everywhere (which, in LA, was bracingly expensive).
I had no idea what to expect from my booking at the Studio City Courtyard Hotel, and I was *very* pleasantly surprised. + I was given a free upgrade when I checked in, which was awesome, and my new room turned out to be really spacious and, dare I say it, luxe. It had a really nice seating area with a couch and coffee table, and a fantastic bathroom with a rainfall-style showerhead and lavender-scented toiletries. I was not expecting to be so pampered by what looks like a motel. + To my surprise and delight, the room also had a fridge and a microwave. + The room heater was excellent, and kept me nice and toasty. + The wifi signal was strong. + I made use of the on-site guest laundry, which was $1.50 each to wash and to dry. The front desk sold detergent for $1.

The location is great, close to many stores and food and universal. We were given a complimentary upgrade due to the unsatisfactory room we were first given

GermanyThe Studio City Courtyard Hotel is a good hotel, given its value for money. Due to the Corona pandemic, the lobby is closed; any interaction with the front desk is exclusively through the night window. The staff, mostly Spanish-speaking, is amicable and helpful. The rooms are clean and well-maintained. However, after the Omikron variant of the virus appeared, the staff stopped cleaning the rooms; those who wanted a clean room had to clean it themselves. The hotel offers rooms and suites. My suite was spacious, generous, and well equipped with strong wi-fi, TV (about 100 channels - no HBO), refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, iron and ironing board, plenty of outlets, a little tresor, and a hairdryer; storage space abounds. Parking is located behind the hotel, but parking is not free for hotel guests. There is a $10 fee per day for the use of the parking lot. The swimming pool is heated and clean. There are comfortable sitting areas throughout the hotel grounds. The hotel is easily accessible from LAX airport via I-405 and 101. However, even with "normal" traffic, you should allow up to 30 minutes for the 22 miles and up to an hour during rush hour. The hotel is located on Ventura Blvd, a busy street, and directly in the flight path of the Burbank Airport, which can lead to some noise pollution. Studio City is what Americans call a "good neighborhood." The area around the hotel is quiet and safe; there are stores, supermarkets (RALPH'S across the intersection), restaurants, hairdressers, and banks.

United States of Americathe only concern was the safety, I didn’t see a security guard on site but overall I trusted my protection in the Hands of my Heavenly Father but it was still in the back of my mind, but no troubles and nothing bad happened thank God.
the room was big, remodeled and very comfortable bed, however the bathroom was dated but very clean which was nice :) I would stay here again if I have to stay up in LA again.

United States of AmericaPillows and bedding including towels need improvements.
The covered parking was a huge relief. We travel with equipment and machines. To be able to back into a covered parking and keeping safe was a big bonus. Most of the staff was nice. but we had there a couple of times before then. 2-3 nights at a time. But the staff made no acknowledgement of us being returning guest. Room are clean and properly appointed and at the end of a long working day it's nice to enter the room and know it would be comfortable. (side note: invest in better pillows and a medium plush mattress topper. Worlds of differnce with little investment and most noticeable improvements)

United States of AmericaBedsheets and desktops/countertops were not clean. Visible stains on mattress protector through the sheets. For a nonsmoking room, it still smelled like marijuana. The bed did not have a thick blanket or comforter. Bathroom could use a paint job and better ventilation, but having a window helped.
Easy check-in, friendly staff, good price. Pool seemed clean, though I didn’t have time to enjoy it. Parking was easy, even if it wasn’t easy to turn corners to exit.
