Sketchy area - lots of homeless and people looking for opportunistic theft. Property is dated. Bathroom is small.

Great location for going out to Frenchman Street. Secure property. Room is comfortable. Room did not get street noise. Clean. Kitchenette was good.

Layout a little awkward especially the bed. As one side of the entire suite was blinds which in part where damaged so couldn't open, but needed to keep closed for privacy anyway. Main air-conditioning unit in lounge was very loud.

Great location, right at the bottom of Frenchman St. Awesome having the streetcar stop just across the road, Nice to have the pool although not a pool to swim in; great for cooling afternoon dip. Free parking on site was the game changer for us.

The bedroom was tiny. The door hits the bed when you open it and you need to crab walk around the bed. No room for a suitcase.

Good location. Short walk to the french market and jackson square. Was clean if a little dated.

The hide-away bed our children slept on had quite a few broken springs. However, they said they still slept great.

The hotel exceeded our expectations! It was clean, quiet and comfortable! Trenelle (sp?) at the desk was fantastic. She was very kind, welcoming and helpful. The room was stocked with everything we could need. The bed was extremely comfortable and all of the bed linens were clean and ironed!

The parking lot behind them, though convenient, it wasn't maintained well. We were able to hear people fighting, and there were drifters sleeping in the parking lot in spaces.

The lady who checked us in was amazing! She was so friendly we went out and even got her a late night snack to thank her for being so kind to my family. The rooms were nice and clean.

The rooms are just a little bigger that a microwave... just like that. The carper is old and dirty. The underground parking it is not really "first come, first serve"... Check the names on the reserving tags and you'll understand better... Howdy, howdy, howdy...

Sheets and towels are clean. The staff were nice and resolved everything I asked. Nothing to complain.

The only thing I didn't like was that you could hear everything in the neighboring rooms and outside. On both days of our stay, we heard the train whistling by at 6 am and the neighbors coming back from the bars. Despite this, I would stay here again, but may be a deal breaker for some.

The location is great - easy to walk to the French quarter or Frenchman street. There is also a street car station right outside, so public transportation is easy too! I would definitely stay here again! The staff was very friendly too.

    No complaints at all.

Hotel de la Monnaie is a wonderful boutique hotel on the edge of the French Quarter of New Orleans. It has all the amenities we required and the suite we got was so much better than a typical hotel room. Really enjoyed our stay here!

We're not fussy so we are fine with the worn in galley kitchen. The vending machine was mostly empty so that was sad but not important for us

Location is ideal for access to the areas we wanted to visit. Across from the Jazz Museum is a bonus

Parking, they have 23 spaces for 53 rooms. So they say here that you get a space, but only if one is available. Also, they have timeshare owners and these rooms get to reserve spaces...you are not allowed to reserve spaces, so you might not get a space. There is a paid lot behind, but it's $30 after tax per day so be prepared to possibly pay to park. If you do get a spot in the garage, plan to never leave or you'll lose your spot to someone else. I had to pay to park the first day and then managed to grab an empty spot the second day and didn't leave so I could keep it. Three front desk people were lovely, but one day person was just unpleasant and curt.

The hotel is clean and in a great location. It's a bit worn and dated, but I don't care about that if it's clean and comfortable. The bed was comfortable. The other guests were not loud and the party areas are far away so it is quiet at night to sleep...the only exception is the train whistles, but I think you'll hear that in any hotel in the french quarter.
