Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The dining room was more expensive for the dinner menu. And the bar up be the lobby dod not always have staff serving.
The valet parking was a great convenience. All the staff were friendly, the wait staff in the dining room during breakfast was the best. The room was clean and comfortable. We will be staying there the next time we go to Deadwood.

Our window in the room wouldn’t stay latched and so it was very noisy.
The location was great for walking around, and the staff was very accommodating!

Roulette games or table not working 3+ days, also couldn’t get a players card as that machine was down so didn’t get the 4x points for sun or 2x points for Tues..
Location and GEM restaurant, female bartender was super. Parking convenient.

Need new beds
I did not see any complimentary breakfast, just coffee. The staff was amazing, a young man helped us unload and cart it to our room. The next morning a kind gentleman cleaned all the snow off of our car. The front desk could be a little more inviting.

Well room was extremely warm. When kicked in air conditioning, it just blew out warm air. Made for a long sleepless night.
Awesome view. Always love going to deadwood. Price was very fair. Staff was nice and helpful.

Housekeeping came in room even tho we had a do not disturb sign outside door.
Staff was super accommodating. Stool in room was broke but we made do.

The parking garage is not convenient

Don't think they cleaned the room. The toilette paper was empty in the bathroom when we showed up. I left my eye glasses in the room and the cleaning staff never found them. Makes me think they didn't clean the sheets of the beds.

The elevator was broke when we were there which I totally understand is not the fault of the Mineral Palace. We were notified by phone the night before of the elevator situation. We were on the 3rd floor but was unable to get rooms on the 1st floor because they were all booked by the time the hotel attendant got to calling me. It was a big inconvenience for a some in our group that were a little on the elderly side. I had to cancel one the rooms knowing one couple would not be able to do all those steps. We were disappointed that we were not compensated something for the inconvenience. We would have been happy with some free play on our players card or something like that. When I asked about that they said they couldn't do that.
Love the location and the facilities. Have some great staff members working and take the time to personally talk to you. This was our third time staying at the Mineral Palace.

Our check out Person was alil in attentive or unaware of the people standing waiting at Counter.Was preoccupied with a project or conversation.And multitasking was difficult i think and the checkout area due to this seemed Tense with customers waiting as well as us.But this was just a Minor issue in the end as we are Patient.
This was our first time to visit Deadwood SD and we throughly enjoyed it! And our stay at Mineral Palace was a Big part of us falling in Love with Deadwood.The Staff was Super nice and Helpful for the most part.And we loved the Steak House! Atmosphere was awesome in gaming area and layout and staff very nice.
