Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

We found a few bugs in the room , with checking other reviews they give a hard time giving money back

The tub didn't work properly and we had to keep getting up to turn it back on
That I checked into the room really late and the person at the front desk let me and my girlfriend stay an hour later cuz of problems with the tub.

There was a hole punched into the bathroom door, floor board was coming undone, outdated A/C, and weird smell in the room.

very old and lots of weird people hanging around and no security or enforcement to give that sense of safety. also called and asked for 2 extra pillows and was told that housekeeping has the key and no can!

The first time I stayed here my room was great. Spacious and really comfortable.The 2nd stay, I got put in a smaller room that wasn't modernized and right over the front office. Lots of traffic noise. It felt like being in a sort of 80s dive. The parking is really tight, and when they're booked up, nearly impossible to find a spot if you arrive late.
I have stayed here twice. Overall this place is well worth the money. The little not so perfect things are minor enough that they wouldn't keep me from staying there again. The staff are super nice and available quickly if you need them for anything.

Smell of strong smoking even though it said no smoking on the door. It caused us to gag all night. While we could open the window it did not have a screen! No coffee maker, no coffee supplies, limited old small soap. The room had been cleaned but not well. Extra pillowcase and pillow were dirty not able to be used. The office clerk was confused very slow had me stand out in the cold for 15 minutes. Initially tried to give us an upstairs room even though we had had booked a downstairs room. When we insisted, he gave us the worse previously smoked in room. It was dingy. We would not stay there again.
There was no breakfast, coffee etc. The location was close to our final destination. The room was roomy. The TV worked. The bed was comfortable, it was a quiet room.

I didn't like that the ice machine was not working.

Mgr not friendly Tv didnt work click stations and doesnt work!!!!! No coffee in the morning. False advertising Parking is tight!!!
No breakfast. The manager was rude. TV didnt seem to work good. Press select for station you want and it takes you to different stations The bed was comfortable, and a great shower. Thank goodness it was quiet, On way to driving to Florida. The light switch when you first walk in, doesn't work, Nit wirth 85.00 a night. Upholestrybon chair was a little warn out. Oh only had a smoking Room. Ugh!!! I can see they put new floors iin, which is nice. So if you need mgr, yoo Cant reach him, he goes to sleep at 12 midnight. I was very disappointed in how rude he was. Sorry!!! but I speak the truth!!! 95.00 out the window!! Perk up your amenities, but I am sure the price would increase! Parking is hard. Lot is small. P

Was no coffee. Bed I was sleeping on was so uncomfortable. 1 side higher n the other side was low. Room above me was so noisy can't sleep.
