Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaJust a few suggestions but no major problems. There is a train that runs right behind the building, and the one I timed took over 9 minutes to pass. It does whistle, but we used a white noise app so it didn’t bother us at night. The bottom rooms on the front of the hotel are right by the drive/parking lot with no setback so people will be walking and driving right outside. The bathroom walls and ceiling had only one coat of paint applied so you could see through it in places. The bathroom also needs better ventilation. Not only did the mirror fog and the bathroom get very humid, water was condensing on the walls and dripping. Combined with the lack of paint, that will cause huge problems if ignored. The room itself felt and smelled a bit damp (not moldy yet) upon entering so it’s something they should definitely attend to. The hallway carpets were also in dire need of being vacuumed. The one thing that affected us was the outlet between the beds. Nothing would stay plugged in snugly, and it’s elevated which makes plugs even more likely to fall out.
This hotel seems to be newly renovated. Room was clean with newer carpet. Beds were comfortable. Air conditioning worked well. Breakfast included. Very convenient to the theme park - could walk there. Fridge worked very well. Decent water pressure with nice-smelling body wash, shampoo, and conditioner provided.

United States of AmericaAC didn't work in first room-they did however move us to another room with no issues! Housekeeping never came, we stayed 3 nights. No biggie, just odd to me. Had to go ask for toilet paper and clean wash cloths.
Very clean hotel, complimentary breakfast was decent, staff is friendly. Right across the street from Kings Dominion, which was the reason for our visit.

United States of AmericaBreakfast was “to go bag” not actual continental breakfast, hotel was within walking distance of kings dominion but no crosswalk to actually safely walk there, no real stores or restaurants nearby the property
Right across from kings dominion, rooms were lightly themed for the park, looked recently renovated, good price, free parking

United States of AmericaIt was very dirty. I didn’t get pics of the first room but the dead bug in the floor and dirty toilet was enough to make me not want to stay in the room. The lady at the desk was very nice and switched our rooms, but the second room was just as dirty and there was urine on the toilet. I don’t travel without Clorox wipes so I scrubbed everything we would be touching. I’m unsure if the cleaning staff quit or what because this hotel has good reviews, but we’re definitely not staying here again. For $168 for the single night I would expect a clean room. The bed was comfy though. I have photos of how dirty the floor is but I don’t have room to share all of the photos. I’m unsure what was on the decorative pillow on the bed but it’s definitely not appealing. There was a brown spot on the blanket on the bed, something reddish/orange on the bathtub wall, black on the tub, the toilet had urine on the seat and black in the bowl, the floor didn’t have dead bugs in it this time, but had trash and shoe marks on it.
It was close to the farm bureau center

United States of AmericaThermostat-controlled air conditioning would be a nice improvement - rather than the in-the-wall unit alone. Having an active fan in the bathroom is preferred over just passive ventilation. Maybe I just missed the switch.
It was a completely unexpected surprise to see the exact Jimmy Dean croissant breakfast sandwiches I eat at home part of the breakfast grab & go options. Your renovations on the property make it like brand new. Very impressed!

United States of AmericaStain on the comforter/duvet. Tv remote didn’t work properly. Our breakfast was served in a bag the night before due to no breakfast area. Only the ice machine on the first floor worked. Cigarette ashes on the ceiling in the shower like someone put out their cigarettes. The toilet lid wouldn’t stay up. The shower drained very slowly and was standing in a pool of water. Our key cards stopped working after the first night. When we asked for new cards, they questioned if we knew our room number and asked us if we were sure that we weren’t staying in a different room. Cigarette butts everywhere outside the hotel. Trash in the parking lot.
The gal who checked us in was very friendly and sweet. The bed was comfy. The coffee bar was nice. They had a decent selection of snacks and some essentials for staying in a hotel.
