Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Hotel exterior is not well maintained with litter here and there. Cost of hotel parking was $47 p/nite. Room was missing a bathroom mat.
Rooms are clean and large. Walking distance to Little Tokyo and City Center buildings. Price of rooms were only fair value.

The noise. It’s not really good with noise, I was on the 21st floor and any noise from the outside sounded like it was right outside my window.
I enjoyed how close it was to everything. It was in a main area so everything was pretty accesible.

Front service at time of check out. A Team member named “Daniela” was a bit rude when we were in the front at the time of check out. I was not sure if it was because it was early in the morning. But I checked out around 6am and I asked the front attendant Daniel if I may check out. She replied with “well I’m not logged on yet but I will take care of it” in a rude way. I also asked her if I can go down stairs to the garage to get my garage ticket to be validated since I forgot it when I checked in she replied with “why do you need to get the garage ticket for? You are charged nightly.” I then replied with “oh okay sorry I was told by the attendant yesterday to just bring the ticket up here on check out so it can be validated and I will not be charged hourly” she then asked the valet team member to give me a ticket so I can leave the garage without being charged. I then proceeded to check out and leave the double tree hotel. Very great room and services I just would recommended staff to be a little more nicer to guests even if it is very early in the morning and they are barely “logging on”. Other than Daniela being rude and unprofessional I would recommend the hotel to any family or friend ! Thank you !
Room was very nice and neat. Cleaned very well. So props to the janitorial services.

The parking is way to expensive!

The room asked the bath tube, there was bath tube but the sealing did not work.
I chose the location for the event. It was walking distance. It was great.

The shower was very reluctant to give hot water… sometimes it took over 5 minutes to reach moderate warm. That costed alot of water which does not go with the idea of spending less water…
The location was great. Little Tokio and the Broadway make a nice surrounding. The hotel is classic and nice

Too close to the homeless, making it unsafe to exit at night time The sirens and helicopters are going all night long don't allow for much sleep.
The beds were comfortably and the rooms spacious. All staff were wonderful.

Rooms aren’t in great shape. Everything is a bit dated and there were a lot of odd noises that can disturb your sleep from inside and outside the hotel.
The location is the best part. Right next to Little Tokyo. You can walk to a lot of great spots. Hotel is cool. Clean. Rooms are not great. But again it’s safe, nice enough and location is great.

Breakfast is very very poor compared to many other hotels of the same class.
I like the room but not the bathroom. Location is good near union station and near many restaurants. Bed is good.
