Though the apartment was clean and the facilities worked well, the shower knob was quite stiff. The glass shelf was somewhat unstable and the frame of the shower door did shift and was partially unscrewed from the wall. The cleaner did not get under the bed as I found an old Subway sandwich bag and napkins on the day of my checkout.

I loved the location was very close to downtown and the host was very thoughtful putting together a short list of attractions and restaurants. The apartment was clean and quiet aside from the noise of passing cars, people, and working vehicles.

a lot of noise from the street. people shout a lot in that area. a street fight at 3 am right outside the window. the noise of people and cars does not allow sleep.

Wasn't aware of multiple conditions about renting the place till after I committed. No free parking, it was an upstairs unit, tv wasn't really usable as it requires internet connection. Need an explanation for tb use. Noisy at night.

A better-stocked kitchen would have been nice. I had expected more. Also having a door on the bathroom would be good. There is little natural lighting in the apartment so it can feel a bit dark during the day.

The location was perfect and the apartment was cozy (a bit loud at night, but that just comes with being in the city). I loved having a kitchen and the games were fun to play at night. Getting the passcode and checking in/out was easy.

Had severe mold smell and we couldn’t stand the allergy symptoms after sleeping in the unit for 5 hours. The mold/mildew smell is strongest in the corner where bed is located. The building and unit also both reeked of marijuana. We left before 6 am and did not return for second night. The building did not feel safe and was unsecured overnight, lots of homeless population in the area and the hallways and grounds were very unkept. Also requested the “rollaway” bed option provided, for our daughter. We found the air mattress but there were no linens for it. The linens on bed did not feel clean. The noise from the other building tenants and street traffic was disturbing in to the early morning hours. We wanted a cost effective way to stay near by our daughter’s volleyball tournament, but I do not recommend this location for families.

The kitchen was nice and updated. It was the only part that was as advertised.

The host kept sending templated messages to me, while we agreed on something different earlier. Important: I myself hosted (on a different platform) for several years, and I do believe that my guests deserved customised communications. The host's opinion that the basic toiletries are a tooth paste, a tooth brush and a soap, but not hair shampoo is questionable. In the hospitality industry around the world the basic toiletries are soap and shampoo. The rest is extra. When discussing this with the host, they suggested I should go and buy my own shampoo. If you arrive to Houston from Asia or Europe and need to adjust to the timezone, be aware that almost no daylight comes through the windows. One of which is in seemingly poor condition, with some shards behind it. Overall, the cleaners should pay closer attention to bathroom, specifically the shower head, which was semi-blocked by built-up lime. (There is no heating in the bathroom btw.)

The apartment is spacious and centrally located. The bed is large for 1 person. Most of the areas seemed clean. A complimentary early check-out (at 1 o'clock instead of 11 o'clock) was very appreciated. I was super unlucky with the weather. The heater and the AC were enough to keep a comfortable air temperature inside the property.

The location was perfect, right in downtown. I wanted to be able to walk to things and the location made it easy to do so. Likewise, it was also in a pretty quite neighborhood for being downtown.
