Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaI already stated what I didn’t like
It is in a nice Location and the subway is right there and in nyc that is a plus. The rooftop bar is nice but right now, half is block for construction . Also there is construction Monday through Friday so the rooms are noisy from 8-5 . The hotel does offer , like free drink or breakfast because of the noise but there are generous on giving you free water. The staff are nice so I had a good time at the hotel.

Hong KongThe room rates are overcharged. Please look into this matter with immediate action. I stayed at room 716, April 27 to May 1, 2024 (4 nights, King Room Bronze). The room is smaller than expected. No mini bar, had to ask for a fridge and kettle. No drinking cup, no folk nor knife were provided. The corridor and looked old and dirty. The room showed wear and tear. Construction noise was heard on April 29, 30 and May 1. The noise started at around 8:00 am. The hotel staff said it was major construction nearby and it will go on for some years. Booking.com needs to update the room facilities and check whether the room rates quoted is reasonable.
The location. The bed is very comfortable

United States of AmericaWhen we checked into our room, there was already luggage in the room which wasn’t ours. Also the room they gave us wasn’t the one we had booked. Then we had to wait to even make sure they had another room available. Room didn’t look like what we booked, which was the whole reason for the stay. The shower head didn’t work correctly.
Staff was very friendly and place was clean

United States of AmericaThe first 2 nights were in a smaller room. We were woken up at 630am Monday with VERY loud banging noise on an outer wall due to construction. The room view was the construction trash tube and the next bldg. The next 2 nights, our new room (after we complained) was more spacious but our bed and even the makeup mirror shook during construction. A pillow over my head didn't block out the loud noise outside our window from a construction (cement mixer?) truck that didn't quit until 12:40 a.m. Then the loud construction noise and shaking started again at 6:30am

AustraliaWe asked to shift rooms after a few days as our original room was dark with poor lighting and had the windows blacked out, it was also tiny, not even enough room to have a suitcase on the floor and walk past the bed. We had to stack them on the small, fixed desk to walk past the bed. The windows had been blacked out because there was a construction site outside of them. The work crews started yelling and an excavator with a jackhammer started at 07:15 every day. Everything in the room rattled and this went all day on weekdays. We moved to a much larger room on the front of the building that was more what we had expected based on the room description and size when we booked.
Friendly Staff and a great location, close to Central Park, Times Square and Broadway. Subway access on the corner so easy access to transport. Comfortable beds and modern clean bathroom facilities.

United States of AmericaThe continental breakfast did not have any protein options, and was pretty sparse overall. No fridge or coffee pot / tea kettle in the room, had to ask for them to be brought. The lounges were not available most of the time. This was confusing because it seemed like they were according to the website. Was hoping for an easy spot to get a drink before dinner, but the Ricky was way too dark inside for comfort and the rooftop terrace was more like a club atmosphere. The fishbowl is events only. The TVs in the room will only sync to android phones for streaming and otherwise were very locked down, no streaming services and limited cable access.
Location was good, right near Central Park and Times Square. Close to subway stations too. Room was large and comfortable. Bathroom amenities were fantastic. Overall hotel was clean and well kept. Staff were very friendly.

United States of AmericaRoom was small. Bathroom was tiny. Lighting was terrible. I had to make sure to do my makeup before the sun went down - even if I wasn’t going out until 8 pm. When I mentioned this to the front desk, they said, “Yeah, we’ve gotten that same feedback about the lighting for 20 years.” Excuse me - 20 years and the issue hasn’t been addressed?
Great location and friendly front desk staff. Loved the PhD rooftop (except for the prices). Complimentary breakfast was continental, but okay. Elevators were tiny - like those in London.
