To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

How close to the airport the hotel was. I loved the size of the room and cleanliness. They had free breakfast and dinner along with free alcoholic drink at bar. Staff was very friendly. I will definitely be staying here again.

United KingdomFree shuttle between hotel and airport is free in that you don’t have to pay the hotel but you are expected to tip the driver. These small details matter for foreign visitors as tipping is not common abroad and if a service is labelled as free we will take it at face value that it is truly free!
Excellent value for money. Room came with complementary dinner and breakfast which were both really delicious. Staff were very friendly and helpful and offered us a late check out which was very appreciated. Hotel was undergoing some renovation but noise/disturbance was not too bad.

Clean shuttle that started at 0400, every 30 mins. Happy hour "kick back" alleviated any need to go out to dinner. Pulled pork sliders, build your own nachos, salsa, coleslaw, stuff to make a simple salad, and three drinks (cocktails, wine, beer). All this was free. A/c worked great. Even had extra towels in the bath.

Friendly staff, evening reception food was amazing, Sunday special rate was perfect and got us to cancel our reservation at a different hotel. We usually stay at embassy suites and you’ve converted us!

Staff was professional and very welcoming. Check in was quick and convenient. Was even given a goodie bag due to ongoing construction. Thought that was a simple but nice touch. Room was a nice size and comfortable. Free dinner (with drinks) and free breakfast. Shuttle service was easy and a breeze. Proximity to airport is perfect.
