The hotel needs more cleaning. The hallways need vacuum and the bathrooms in the common rooms need more cleaning.

The employees were very nice, friendly and helpful.

Paid Parking

Everything was exceptional except for 1 thing. Having to pay for parking regardless of staying at hotel with booking. Makes no sense to charge ppl staying at hotel for parking. Should only charge visitors.

Undisclosed ahead-of-time $150 deposit, which was half of my pre-changed travel money. However, it was returned the next working day. Music in the pool area was loud enough to be heard from my room. Fortunately, it stopped playing by 8 PM.

That the bathroom floors easily got dirty due to being wet. It was from my own shoes, which made me realize I should have worn the slippers. It was clean and nice overall.

The walls are pretty thin so you can hear everything.

The beds are really comfy and it has a 1970s motel feel, but with way nicer beds.

I didn’t know about the $75 parking fee for 2 nights. The dude at the front desk who failed to acknowledge me while talking on the phone for over 5 minutes while I needed to check out. And then commented “can’t you wait”? And when I said “No” simply placed a plastic receptacle on the counter for me to place my card keys. No thank you or any further comment from him Very unprofessional in my opinion

While the well-done shared bathroom concept was a surprise there are two cost-cutting measures that really make a bad impression. The really cheap toilet paper with security dispenser you expect to see in a roadside rest-stop was a disappointment. Good luck getting more than a couple inches. And if you forgot to bring your hand towel from your room when you wash your hands, it's another "gotcha." There are no paper towels or hand dryers in the bathrooms. Overall a small annoyance on a good stay.

Located just a couple blocks east of the Interstate on the infamous 6th Street, this retro-style hotel has a room style for any budget. We did the style they call "cabins" which are very small with a shared bathroom. That sounds like a step down but we never waited for a bathroom nor encountered a bathroom that wasn't clean. It's a concept that works. The central pool and roof top bar are a couple top notch amenities. There are food trucks, coffee bars and very good restaurants within blocks.

I stayed in a cabin without my own shower and toilet, and I did not like having communal showers and toilets because there was no guarantee they would clean when I used them. Which is more a cliental issue more so than the hotel itself.

I liked the location, the amenities, and the on site parking.

We visited during SXSW and the price was eye watering for a room with shared (very clean and well maintained) bathroom facilities. Hopefully a return visit outside of this peak season would be a bit more affordable.

Cool place with fab location in east side. Excellent roof top bar and cafe. A pool which we didn't use but looked good. Rooms were very comfortable and clean.

Booking on booking.com, I was unaware that originally, I was booking a cabin with a shared restroom space. I wish that would have been pointed out first. I had to upgrade my room to a room that did have a bathroom inside and pay extra when I arrived.

I liked the proximity to downtown and that the hotel offered amenities like the pool and live music! The bars were also great, and the food was fantastic. The staff was very friendly and accommodating also!

This hotel is slap bang in noise, I stayed for 4 nights and every night besides the Sunday, music was vibrating through my room until 2am. There’s a weed truck right outside that plays music on a speaker.. kind of crazy tbh but you’re in the centre of the night action so it’s Perfect if you’re there for partying! - annoyingly I’d booked it hoping to have a bit more rest after a heavy week of SXSW parties. I think they could invest in more sound proof windows, make sure they have ear plugs available for guests (they’d run out) and just state very clearly that this hotel is really only suitable for people coming to party every night . If that’s you, it’s really the most perfect place

Love the hotel itself, very cute rooms, clean, and a lovely pool area. Bathrooms are also great and never had to wait, so the shared bathroom thing wasn’t an issue in any way. They give you robes and sandals you can wear in the shower too. The staff are also very kind and attentive, and went over and above to help.

Showers were warm, could be hotter but fortunately the weather was unseasonally warm, so not a big deal. I probably could have piped up but didn't feel the need. Staff were really nice I'm sure they would have tried to do something.

Really friendly and accommodating staff. Well designed property. Cozy in size with a variety of spaces to hangout in besides the pool. Lovely outdoor lounge on the roof deck. Food at the restaurant was delicious, fresh and had a variety of healthy, vegetarian, meat and non dairy options.
