There was food left in the fridge from previous guest. Fridge was frozen over and couldn’t use the first night of the stay. I had to throw out shrimp because I had no place to put my leftovers.

Down spout in the bathtub was about to fall off. The bottom surface of the tub is really slippery when you are standing taking a shower. Its an accident waiting to happen. The decor is getting dated.

Our toilet clogged the first night, when I went to the front desk, the staff said maintenance left for the day and I had to wait until I returned from my son’s tournament the next evening to have the maintenance staff clear the toilet.

Location to Lake Oconee was excellent with access to nearby boat ramps and marinas. Property was clean other than some hair in the shower.

Bathroom needed updating. Shower floor was very worn, no exhaust fan. On the pricey side, paid $183 for king room.

Bed was comfortable. Breakfast was scrambled eggs, sausage links, biscuits. Would of loved to have had sausage gravy though. And they had the usual cereals and bagels. Their sign says that breakfast varies and biscuits and gravy is on the list so I was just unlucky. Nice deck with pool (closed at this time of year). It said lake view but there was no real view of the lake due to trees and very dirty windows. Of course keep the trees but please clean the windows!

The water pressure in the shower was poor every time I showered. There was missing tile in the bathroom and what appeared to be a slight build up of grime or dirt in the corner of the shower.

Our room was clean. The beds were comfortable, but the fitted sheet and mattress cover kept coming off each night. Breakfast room was clean and breakfast food was ok. There was good hot coffee in the entryway 24/7.

The "hot breakfast" was not hot. It was pre-cooked and packaged waffles and breakfast sandwiches in a fridge. There was no fresh fruit and no milk for the cerial.

It's very run down. It needs some work to repair and update. First with their plumbing system. We had to change rooms twice because of leaking toliets and an air conditioner. But the staff took care of it within mins and moved us to an upgraded room each time at no extra charge. They were wonderful!

Loved the nature theme. Location for why we stayed there was good. My son was I'm a 2 day golf tournament, and it was close to where he played. I loved the staff! The place was clean. We had plenty of room! And the beds were so comfortable!! Again, they had a great staff.

Upgrades are needed, however, we saw that occurring while we were there.

Although we rated the hotel a 7, with the new staff and noted daily improvements we saw while we were there, it will definitely be rated much higher next time we stay there. The staff was very kind, always had a smile when we engaged with them and the facility was welcoming. We also loved that we could access the lake easily.

The absence of a safe in the room. Tables appear to have been removed in the breakfast area and not replaced after covid. As a result the seating was inadequate. Carpetes in the hallway appeared worn and stained.

Grounds at the hotel were well maintained.
