Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaThe outside door handle is apparently supposed to be lifted up to keep it from grinding (per owner), yet there is no indication on the door for this unusual necessity. The "new" renovations were not planned by a designer. This was obvious due to the dated, mismatched colors of the walls, floors and woods. The "art" was 3 framed posters, with 2 of the 3 posters exactly the same. The mirror was good but oddly landscaped instead of portrait. There was a curling iron burn on the bathroom countertop. The parking lot is in pretty awful shape. But I appreciated the effort and saving $$.
It had the basics we needed: 1) relatively speaking, very close to West Point, 2) one of the cheapest options in this overpriced area, 3) comfortable beds, and 4) clean. The friendly part-owner of this family business was nice, eager to please, and proud of his hotel. He stated proudly that the room was "newly renovated". While the shower was great, I cannot imagine what the non-renovated rooms looked like. The blankets were "gray girls". The room was clean, except for two towels with one or two tiny specks on them each, that icked out my son, and one little centipede. I would stay here again to save $90-150/night compared to the Thayer. It had a kitchen sink, microwave and minifrig.

Very close to West Point. This was an older hotel with older decor but clean. It appears they are beginning to update some rooms. Our bathroom was updated. Staff was nice.

United KingdomThe property is old which looks like those stayed by fugitives in movies. The fittings and furniture can be classified as antique like those you can find from a garage sale. I booked a double deluxe room which was described on website newly renovated with two large double beds but it turned out the beds were more like twin beds and the room was old. The staff was kind to help me change to a bigger room but I had to pay a difference. Staff are nice.
The beds were surprisingly firm and comfy. No bedbugs, which was a bonus.

United States of AmericaIt reminded me of a 1950's motel. I was there to attend a Sandhurst Competition at West Point and originally booked three nights. After my first night, Thursday, I was told that visitors could not attend the ceremonies on Sat. night so I inquired if I could possibly cancel my Sat. night reservation since I would have to leave on Sat after the competition was completed. The gentleman at the front desk was nice and polite but said no, he couldn't do that. So I paid for three nights but only used two. The place was practically empty, so I wasn't taken up any one else's reservation.
The location to West Point.

United States of AmericaI can really only say, The Price. if I didn’t know about the renovations, I would also question the hotel by it’s outside appearance. But again, it is great when we need to stay over vs driving home 3 hours at 11pm at night.
Its proximity to West Point and price relative to the other hotels by West Point, cannot be beat. Though still pricey for current quality. Note: The owners are taking all feedback into consideration as are renovating all the rooms and, I believe, the outside appearance. This is a no-frills stay but the staff is courteous and helpful. It is clean and safe. For a place to crash overnight, you cannot beat it.
