Great chain of hotels but this Times Square location wasn’t the right fit for me.

It was noisy. I should not have chosen to stay so close to Times Square. I recommend one of their other properties a couple blocks further away. The flashing lights from the billboards kept me up at night so I wouldn’t call it restful. The room was very small.

The lobby is beautiful. The staff friendly. The breakfast was great for grab-n-go! The included walking tours a huge bonus. Good location for seeing Manhattan. Right across the street from Roger’s Theater was a bonus.

Convenient location but not able to sleep well due to lack of temperature control and noise.

Temperature control in the room didn't work correctly. The temp was 74 degrees, even with the "cool" control on. Didn't seem a way to get the heat to lower. It's also very noisy, rattling and clanking as it comes on or goes off. Actually startles you awake. Not a big fan of the bathroom door which didn't close all the way and was barely frosted glass, not much privacy.

hotel is situated 1/2 block from Times Square and in the heart of the Theater District. Seemed to have very good security; had to show room key to access elevators. Staff were courteous and efficient, very accommodating. Room was very clean.

I was very upset discovering that I had to pay a deposit of 300$ for each room ( I booked 3) only 2 day before I arrived at the hotel. It wasn't mentioned on the hotel site so I found it not correct. Then it was told that the deposit would be given after 30 days. It has been the first time that happened to me so please be aware of these details before booking.

The location is suitable to get to the main attractions because is in Times Square. The staff was very kind and helpful. The room clean and bed very comfortable. We could leave the luggage while we were out before going to the airport. We appreciate making coffee in the morning using the machine in the room..

For the majority of our stay was good, just besides the housekeeping staff.

The morning of around 730am, housekeeping knocked on the door (I forgot to put the do not disturb sign on the doorknob). That was no problem, but then 2 hours later around 930am, I get another knock & this time the housekeeper just knocked & opened the door. Didn’t wait for a response, just opened the door. If my checkout isn’t until noontime, then why am I constantly getting a knock on the door? I just found it odd. And then after that, it was just so much noise from the housekeeping & it kind of felt like they were trying to make us get out sooner. I think housekeeping should knock once in the morning & if it’s not time yet - they should come back once people actually check out. The constant knocking was not necessary & interrupted my sleep multiple times

Everything was good, the staff was friendly. Even one of the hotel attendants suggested some nearby bars after their bar closed. We appreciated that!

There was loud re-construction noise on my floor during the day (hence only a good rating for question 2: How was your stay at Hotel Edison Times Square?) . It was not easy to get breakfast food for my son who has allergies to some types of food. The rooms are slightly smaller than I would have liked (but were more than sufficient for our needs).

Staff was very helpful and cheerful, especially the doorman, reception staff, and cleaning staff. Excellent location. The beds were comfortable. There were sufficient electrical outlets.

The very loud air conditioning that went on and off constantly with no controls in the room. We could not even hear the tv. Very annoying. The $40 “facility fee” was very unfair. The wine offered was not even at the hotel so not use-able for us. The breakfast was not even free - it was very nasty to add a $6.95 charge for breakfast - it should have been complimentary. This fee is very unfriendly and is simply a nasty cash-grab. When the rate posted at booking.com is $251 and the bill with taxes and fees comes to $337, this is unacceptable from a consumer standpoint. This room was adequate but very tiny and without charm or any frills.

Location. Reasonable rate for Times Square area. Very comfortable bed. Nice shower. Starbucks coffee in room.

Room was small, but that was expected. The bathroom felt more like an old water closet, and it needs updates.

Location is excellent. It's a beautiful hotel right in Times Sq. and the room was reasonably quiet. We got a good night sleep. The to go breakfast was reasonable. We didn't like the yoghurt but the croissants were very good. We had a table to sit in that charming basement space. Elevators and overall security was very good, particularly for such a busy area. The front desk staff, porter, valet parking and cleaning staff were all very attentive. We felt welcome and taken care of.

For the price we paid we got tiny room with wall-view, very loud AC outside you can’t do anything about. The breakfast could be better. Even if Grab-n-go they could do some rotation instead of presenting same food every day.

There charged $40 resort fees + taxes a night, which did not include the $6.50 for a "mean" looking Breakfast that totaled $10 a person (with tax and tip). It can all add up for a family of 4. Don't be lured into attractiive prices... they'll add it all back other ways. Room was sooo dark I had to use my phone flashlight to find things.

The location was great and close to lots of sights and transport

For the price of room, plus new resort fee, I got one small cup of coffee!! No other amenities in room. That breakfast was deplorable. As a former NYer and coffee drinker this is just companies being stingy.

Easy location, classic place, and very well maintained in terms of clean and staffing.
