Next store( we were in motel part) was family with littles ( little kid's) who ran across floor for hours. Shook the room like there was a floor above us. There is no floor above. I guess they were trying to tire them out lol but annoyed the H out of us.

Does have a little restaurant attached with limited hours. Like until 2pm. Chama lacks places to eat but there are a few. Good breakfast

One big problem, although no fault of Elk Horn Lodge, were the group of men in town for a dirt bike ride on motorcycles. There were at least ten of them. No problem until 6:30 am when one A**Hole starts his dirt bike and revs it loud and hard for at least ten minutes. It was cold outside that morning and the dipsh*t couldn't keep the motor running. It would die and he would start the whole process over, with no regard or care of the guests sleeping five feet away. Lucky for us, they only stayed one night.

First of all, the staff at check in were awesome. Very nice and accommodating. Yes, the place is a bit outdated, but it is still a great place to stay, great location, very quiet and peaceful. The beds were very comfortable and the little mini fridge kept drinks very cold. We had a great, relaxing four nights here. Can't say enough about how friendly the staff was!

We opened the windows to enjoy the cool evening air, and the other guests the next morning sounded like they were inside our room. The rooms don't have AC, so you have to open the windows.

Very nice motel. The rooms were nice. I had to use a chair for a night stand, but the bed was comfy and it was very convenient to the railroad.

I should have asked for help with the TV. I should have brought groceries. My bad. I went to Subway and paid 20 and change for a sandwich. the guy that ran Subway was an Idiot. I felt sorry for his employees.

There was no air conditioning. Even a window unit would have improved the air temp. There was no microwave.

Love the location by the river. Cabins are pleasantly rustic. Love having the kitchenette. A fan was provided and helped with air circulation.

The only issue for me was lack of in room ac. Yet it was a good cabin and the size was worth it.

The service this was amazing. I was worried about my travel and timing it all and she absolutely worked with me on check in time.

Only issue we had was no AC, but it cooled off at night. It was a bit chill in the morning that was nice

My family loved the location. It was close to everywhere we wanted to go, the beds were very comfortable, it having a kitchen was a plus for us and the restaurant was walking distance. Love that the river was close 👌

Someone should be manning the front desk during buissness hours . However they were prompt in responding when ring button was pushed . Just nice to walk into a reception and be greeted and some warm coffee.

Elk horn Cafe personally is the best breakfast spot around ! Fair price good size servings . Friendly service bright homey ambiance. I definitely will be back

The room was large clean and comfortable yes it is rustic but it was exactly what we expected it is located just outside of the town proper but has a cafe right next to the property the beds were comfortable and the down comforters were perfect for the area and the coming winter.
