Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaThis hotel offered pet friendly rooms for an affordable rate of $75 for 1-4 nights for up to 2 pets and $125 for 5+ nights. We came baring our two puppies that are were 6 and 7 months old, one a German Shepherd and the other a Yellow Lab. We got them into their new environment even bringing a collapsible crate for the room to ensure safety of property. When my husband was taking the German Shepherd out to go potty, upon his return the desk staff asked him to, "come see us when you put him away" so he did, with the Lab in tow going back down. The desk staff stated to him, to try to "limit" his time in public spaces because he is "scaring" other guests when he barks. Now, I understand that a dogs bark can be a bit alarming, however our PUPPY who is still learning and is just as anxious in a new place with all the people is just and scared too. He at no time lunched at any other patron or was out of control in the public spaces, additionally, we were never just "hanging out" with him being vocal. We were a bit upset by this simply because, he is a dog and dogs do bark, there was not clause that "dogs who bark are not permitted", secondly, we were doing our due diligence by taking him out to do his business rather than urinate or defecate within the room. We were given an alternative route of back stairs to go down, however we could not get back up the same way so we were forced to go through the lobby. I want to make it clear that my husband made every effort prior to this conversation to minimize contact due to the new environment for the dog and the premise that some have on German Shepherd's, however, there is/was no notification of breed restrictions or requirement that dogs must be of a certain age or have vocal chords removed so that barking does not occur. Additionally, when we pulled the door to the bedroom closed the door handle fell off in our hand...
We loved that this location was so close to the metro station to easily get into the city! Additionally, they offered a nightly "reception" with light snacks, sodas, juice as well as 2 house cocktails per adult. Breakfast was also included in the stay which was an added bonus before a long day of sight seeing our nations capitol. Our kids really enjoyed the pool, this is always a highlight of any hotel stay. Parking was super easy and very affordable for our Friday (late afternoon arrival) to Monday (early morning departure) we paid $66, the hotel states you can come and go however we opted for public transit instead. Our wait staff was bar none, catering to the needs of children's minds who are ever changing and offering patience at all times, additionally the bartenders were impeccable, long lines of guests wanting drinks and they were fast, efficient and friendly at all times! Lastly, we loved that it was a pet friendly hotel...however my reviews here will be below.

United States of AmericaParking could be improved. The spots were extremely small, there was hardly any space to get out once parked because the cars were so close. Suggestion expand the parking are which would allow to have wider spots even for a car. It would be impossible to park a truck there.
Check in was fast and smeemless. The staff was professional as well.

United States of AmericaUpon our team arrival 12/7/23 @11pm as we were checking into the hotel we were inform that the water would be off (no running water, no toilet flushing) til 5:00 am. Outdated electrical outlets, sheets on the bed had spots on them. I will not be staying at the Embassy Suites by Hilton Alexandria Old Town in the future.
The breakfast food was good & hot but while sitting in the eating area lobby two mice ran across the floor.
