To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

United States of AmericaThe person who checked us in seemed to be in a bad mood. Not friendly at all. Coffee was horrible and they offered no vanilla creamer, but they did have chocolate and caramel creamer which I thought was odd. Sofa in the suite didn't have pillows. The bed pillows were bad and our 2 queen room had 2 bath towels for a room that sleeps 4. My reservation clearly stated 3 people. I needed to iron a dress that got wrinkles in my suitcase and the ironing board wouldn't go to full height. Then while I'm in the middle of ironing the front of it fell down. I had to iron at an angle. It was ridiculous. The ironing board and cover were both crap and should be thrown out. I paid over $1300 for 3 nights. If you're going to charge those prices, the basics need to be there.

CanadaSales people trying to sell us more packages all weekend. Couldn't believe how relentless it was. I already paid for this hotel - please don't try to sell me any more. Also, the room cleanliness was a challenge. Our beds weren't made one day, and glasses were left out. Was somewhat hard to tell if the room was cleaned at all.
Breakfast and food was great. The happy hour with free drinks was fantastic. Also loved the size of the room.

United States of AmericaOur room was dated, towels didn’t even match and smelled musty like old, wet dog. Room smelled like mildew. There were no extra pillows or bedding for pull out couch. Found last tenants belongings in cushions of couch which means it wasn’t checked or cleaned. Nasty stain on one couch coushion.
Happy hour, breakfast and location are a plus. Clean lobby and spacious elevators.

United States of AmericaRooms are dated in decor, bathrooms were tight and shower floor was broken and patched up. Shower floor looked dirty but on closer inspection it was repaired and just looked dirty.
Very easy to locate and easy to get around by foot. Parking was great! All the staff from the front desk, cleaning, bar/restaurant were friendly and accommodating. Rooms were huge, comfortable and quiet in the bedroom.
