Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaParking is terrible. There are a small number of spots in front of the hotel and if they are all full you have to walk around the block from the parking garage to the hotel.
The location is good. The pool was good.

United States of AmericaWe had come to go to a concert was supposed to meet others at 5:00 got it to hotel at 4:00 but couldn't get in our room because of housekeeping I figured 6 hours when you have to leave at 11:00 a.m. and you can't get in your room until 5:00 that's pretty bad

United States of AmericaOur room was not ready at check in. This was the case for many as the (very large) lobby was full of people waiting for their rooms. The staff was not friendly or apologetic of the situation. One elevator was not working. Only 2 were working. Very slow. Had to wait a very long (10-15 minutes) time to get an elevator. No ability to take the stairs. The only exit from the stairs was to the outside. Breakfast was overflowing with people. The staff was not able to keep up. Many items were gone and it took a while to refill them. It is a large hotel. When full of guests, they were not equipped to adequately provide a quality stay.

United States of AmericaOur team parents like to stay at Embassy to utilize their large, open lobby on the main floor. This year we were not allowed to stay in the lobby past 11pm.

United States of AmericaIt wasn’t very clean. The bed was well-worn, we did not have a good nights rest. The breakfast was meh. No complimentary water. Our stay was 280 for one night before drinks, dinner, water, and parking.
The location is great, right downtown. The atrium/inner courtyard is beautiful.

United States of AmericaThe Embassy used to be worth the higher price but since the renovations it just isn't worth it. I've had more comfortable sleep in a $70 dollar a night hotel. Aside from the made to order omelets the breakfast is pretty on par with what you would get at any hotel that has a breakfast bar. Since most stores at the Charleston Town Center mall have closed it is not a selling point for the hotel anymore. The noise from the atrium at night makes it hard to get a good night's sleep.
It's nice that there are a variety of places to eat near by.

United States of AmericaThe beds were smaller than I thought they would be. The bathroom wasn’t as clean as I thought it would be. Breakfast was good but not a lot of options for dairy free. The parking was expensive.
The location was convenient. There was plenty of space in the room.

United States of AmericaIt's strange.. I stayed in this hotel a week ago and had an exceptionally wonderful stay, however, this time my room was not as nice. I stayed on the 6th floor last week on my drive down. The room was super clean and smelled great! However, I started in room 507 last night and it was not as nice as my 6th floor room! It was a little dusty, didn't smell really good, and the shower was set up very awkwardly. You have to get wet with cold water to turn the shower on! It's bc the layout of the room is weird. The shower door opens on the side opposite to the shower head, so you have to lean in to turn on the water!
Staff was great! Bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was wonderful. The omelettes are fantastic! Pillows were soft. Bed was comfortable.

United States of AmericaIt was very expensive and they charged me $50 for incidentals and I have not gotten that back, even tho the room was left in impeccable condition. That part should be added to the website because some people cannot afford 200 dollars for a room and then 50 more dollars just because they say so.

United KingdomYou have to pay for parking. No shower cap and the door to shower is the other side of the shower head so turning it on prior to showering you get wet with very cold water.
