Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Sometimes the bathroom shower head didn't work properly, hot and cold water may take few minutes to adjust. Room garbage was not cleaned during my stays.
Good location. Easy to walk around some attractions, 360 skydeck, navy pier. Close to Bus stops and subway station. Clean room, comfy bed. Also nice front desks staffs. Very good breakfast. Excellent free snacks and drinks daily in the room. In addition, I like free drinks for the room guests during evening.

For the amount of money per night, I would have thought the room would have been in better shape. The room needed some maintenance work done. Disappointed on how poorly the maintenance is kept up. Also disappointed on the size of the pool. The hotel needs to do a better job on telling you what parking garage to use when they sent out their emails.
Loved the view of the city. The staff were very friendly and welcoming.

Breakfast was ok and could go another hour.

Not aware large groups were staying. No tables available for breakfast as they came in together. Had to wait for an hour until there were spaces.

on weekends there was no coffee out for self serve until 7:30 am - just too late to be helpful also one day housekeeping didn’t arrive until 4:00 pm which is when we were back in the room to chill before evening activities- we declined it at that point - I understand if you can’t get to it but that’s not the time of day it works to leave the room

Lobby was too warm and could’ve been cleaner. Missed out on our free drinks because of time limits. Got stuck in the elevator going up and down several times before it finally let us off and my daughter had an anxiety attack.
Proximity to everything, location, room was spacious and clean. Free breakfast!

Lack of available seating at breakfast time. No one manning the street level desk for travel/parking questions. Parking garage could use better signage to let you know it’s for the hotel.
The breakfast was good and the cocktail hour was a nice touch.

The bathroom didn't have any exhaust. When we entered the room there were no soap and toothpaste. We had to request for it. The shampoo bottle was already empty and we had to call for the complimentary bottled water.
My family and I loved the breakfast. There were lots of options. The location was perfect. Very easy to go to tourist destinations. You can easily walk to the different spots. We love that there was Wholefoods right across the hotel. One of the best things is that they have very friendly and accommodating staff!

The room was very dated with notable wear on the furniture and trim. Mattresses were uncomfortable and the room was dimly lit on the atrium side. Additionally, it had a stale smell when you entered the room.
The property itself was fine, breakfast was good, pool was always well stocked with towels and RH’s staff was helpful.

I know there isn't much you can do about it, but I do wish that breakfast in the morning wasn't such a zoo. It was really hard to even get breakfast as well as even get an elevator up or down. But we just opted to go our for breakfast instead, so it worked out just fine :)
I loved the room itself. and room service was pretty fantastic. The hotels location was perfectly centered around everything we wanted to do.

Extremely long wait time to check-in and wait for elevators durring peak times. Wish they had Kiosks to make check-in process faster.

Some things in the room were not up to par (bathroom door was delaminating, hair conditioner was empty, only 2 towels, no pillows or sheets for the fold out couch), and the TVs didn't have smart apps available.
The room had a great view, was very clean and tidy when we arrived, staff was very friendly and helpfull.

I wasn’t that fond of having a room on the 16th floor. I’m afraid of heights.
The staff were so nice and welcoming. The breakfast buffet was also very nice. We had a great view of the city. We also enjoyed the snacks and cocktails. My family and I were very pleased with the pool and the room.
