Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

they need to change how the shower head works you cannot bath and not get the whole bathroom wet not way to shower and hold the shower head while you are washing need to change the shower head uncomfortable.

I had to change rooms for my last night (my fault), and the 2nd room was a very different level of cleanliness. Still good, but there was a definite difference between floors!
This is my 2nd visit and the staff has always been wonderful!

The ping pong table wasn’t available, but i understand that area was being renovated.
The ambience, the staff & the room sizes were actually pretty big as compared to other hotels in the city. The room was exactly as described in their description. The staff was so welcoming & made my stay worth it.

It would hv better if the had provided a hotpot, I needed to go several times a day to go downstairs to get hot water.

The location was great, very close to the Barclays Center. You have a lot of interesting things to see walking distance. The receptionist was amazing!

I understood that I was paying for a standard room. However, the pictures indicated that the standard room has a similar layout as the premium room, including carpet and a city view. Instead, I got a room with hard floors with trash next to the window. It would be much more helpful if they included pictures of the standard room, instead of only the premium rooms. The ice machine in the hallway didn't work, and although they did have an ice machine in the dining area on the first floor, it was difficult to maneuver.
The hotel is in the center of Downtown Brooklyn, which means it's close to all sorts of local restaurants, food courts, and public transit. The area felt safe, even at night. The flavored water near the lobby entrance was nice, especially if you're settling in or on the go. The Phillips mood-changing light was a nice addition to the room, and helped me fall asleep at night. The bed was large and comfortable. The even rooms in the hotel was very clever.

The noise outside from the traffic during the day but the night was peaceful
The front desk team was nice they were all so attentive and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable great price for the night. Definitely gonna be staying there again, also location was so close to everything I needed downtown.

The shower head was a little wonky. The shower cord was leaking from the middle.
The hotel is centrally located near public transit options. The room was comfortable with bare necessities, though I wish some slippers were provided. I had brought my own.

My bed sheets were not changed one evening. I stayed for four nights. I was required to leave a deposit for each night I booked. This was my third stay at the property. One of the front desk agents seemed to be a less accommodating than others.

Had to continually request an additional towel as only provided to bath towels when there were three of us. Room not cleaned one day
Breakfast was excellent and freshly made to order. Location was ideal with subway station 5 minutes walk away. Staff were friendly and welcoming.
