the pool was freezing and the hot tub was pretty disgusting the smell of weed was everywhere which made enjoying the balcony impossible- couldn’t leave the balcony door open. found a half smoked cigar on the balcony so I don’t think the no smoking policy is enforced.

There is only parking for one vehicle, so I had to pay to park elsewhere. Thankfully, they do inform you of this before you arrive so that you can be prepared.

We were here for a race and the hotel was right at the finish line. We were able to walk back to shower and watch the rest of the participants finish from our balcony, which was awesome. The front staff were very helpful and provided us with lots of information. The breakfast was closing as we finished the race but the staff was kind enough to grab us a few items before everything was put away entirely.

They're non smoking policy. Atleast allow guest to smoke on the balcony. It was really cold for my friend to keep having to walk downstairs to smoke.

Narrow parking spaces only allowed minimal door clearance when exiting or entering car. This was made worse by guests who did not center their vehicles in their parking space leaving some spaces unusable.

The first -2 days we were put in A handicap room on the first floor . Floor would get completely wet when showered, bushes obstructed the view of the beach and sea. Was told it was all that was available as we arrived late and they gave first choice to children’s soccer teams , even though we were there for only 2 nights and we were there for 5. Which we felt was very unfair. We drive 400 miles, road construction etc! They did put us on the 5th floor for Sunday- Tues nights. Still in a handicapped room, but proper shower. We are not handicapped. That policy of first come is truly unacceptable, esp your guests were staying more nights! They knew we were coming! At the first floor room also a huge cart white clean towels was parked in front of our door the entire 2 nights . there. That first two nights was especially disappointing. And why did they keep putting us in a handicapped room? The staff were all nice , but policy very disagreeable!

You don't know until check in that it isnt only smoke free rooms, but smoke free facility. However, there were people smoking weed from the balcony every day. The mattresses are HORRIBLE! The only way I could find any comfort is sleeping with my head at the foot of the bed.

A good variety for breakfast. All the staff was very helpful. Facility was clean. Ample parking.

The floor had a stain on it. The shower leaked into the bathroom floor drain, which was weird, even though it was for the handicapped. Wi-Fi was tricky to set up.

The room was overall pretty nice for a 3-star hotel. We had a great view of the beach. The complimentary breakfast was good. Easy access to the swimming pool and on-site laundry. One randomly awesome perk, was there was a water bottle refill station just a few feet from our room which was great.

I did not ask this bonus question from the survey "Bonus Question – You stated a preference during booking to have parking at no additional cost. Was Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Virginia Beach Oceanfront able to fulfill your request?" I asked for foam pillows and my request was accommodated.

We were satisfied, however we would prefer to be on a lower floor on our next visit. We did not interact much with staff but our check in was seamless and the location of the hotel met our needs to reach specific areas of the beach. Our next visit is (9/2 - 9/4/23) where we will request a lower floor.

The air conditioner is loud and works okay. Little pricy, but I'm willing to pay for a one-time event.
