Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaOur room didn’t have much natural light, but since we spent most of the time exploring DC, that wasn’t a big deal.
Very clean and the breakfast was really good (a lot of options). The location is also convenient, you can walk to the mall in less than 15 mins.

United States of Americano specific complaints
The Chinese decor -- highly appropriate for a property at the edge of Washington's Chinatown -- was a pleasant surprise. My room was of ample size, clean, and well-equipped.

United States of AmericaBreakfast was good and a good variety to choose from. Room was very small. Had a king size bed that was comfortable but there was barely enough room to walk along the sides of it. Outside our window was an alley way with a bunch of dumpsters. Staff was very nice and extremely helpful. No mini fridge or microwave in room was disappointing. Good location for walking, 20mins to Smithsonian’s and 20mins to White House.

United States of AmericaThe breakfast area is too small for the size for the hotel. Even on weekdays, the area was packed for most of the breakfast time. The valet service, although convenient, was very expensive.
The location was good, on the edge of Chinatown. Most of the major Washington Mall attractions were only a 20 minute walk. There are several good restaurants in the area.

United States of AmericaThe hotel has no self parking and their valet parks right next to the building for $56. The overall stay for 2 nights was also too expensive.
The room was clean and the staff was friendly. Breakfast was included with our stay. The location was within walking distance to US Capitol grounds and other sites.

GermanyFor me it was too much plastic things. Everything was thrown away. Should be a little more green. Space for breakfast was a little bit too short. When everybody was there not all could sit on thier own table.
Breakfast for me as a German was a little bit too much of sweet things - what is typically for the US. Highlight for the kids was to make their own waffles. Room was nice as expected. Location was perfect because we had tickets for the Wizzards. And the stadium is just cross the street. Also Chinatown is right next corner.

United States of Americathe front desk lady gave us ladies(me and my sister) a room next to the stairwell, but she switched us once we voiced our concern.
The room was nice and clean, looked just like the picture online. Costumer service was awesome, they answered all my questions and were willing to help. The breakfast was wonderful, there was a nice variety and the servers always greeted us in the morning.

United States of AmericaHow the hotel did not have parking. I was forced to valet parking $52 plus $9 taxes is ridiculous. Parking should be in with the hotel stay☹️ I rather and get my own car when I need it. I was told if I parked on the side of the road my car was liable to broken in to. Also if I parked in parking decks they would charge me every time I moved my car and I Proably couldn't park over night. This is an absolute rip off.
Breakfast was good but cold. The location was perfect . Close to the Capitol One Arena and walking distance to everything
