To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):

Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

United States of AmericaThe hotel needs to upgrade it's rooms computer system. Our room keys did not work three times, resulting in my sister getting locked in the elevator. The front desk always dealt with it promptly but that shouldn't be happening.
I love the ambiance, chandeliers and Oak restaurant.

United KingdomThe bar and restaurant was extremely busy and could do with expansion to accommodate the hundreds of people who were trying to get a table, myself included. The fridge in the room was locked and even if a bar was not part of the package, somewhere for me to place perishable goods would have been handy. The hot domestic water wasn't very hot on occasions but I think that the hotel was near to capacity during my stay. 7/10.
The location was excellent. The building and decor was beautiful and staff were very accommodating. The room was clean and the bed very comfortable. A nice sized room.

Super location - beautiful hotel! The lobby and entrance is fabulous and the Christmas tree & decorations just perfect. Restaurant very nice - although I thought maybe there would be more decorations there. Room was nice - standard for hotel of this level, comfortable, clean etc. staff were friendly and very helpful - especially one of the concierge’s who was super helpful, great directions and had a fabulous Boston accent!!
