Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomThe buffet meals at The Terrace were poor: not enough choice, pre-cooked and tired food. No other choice for breakfast or lunch.

United States of AmericaThe view is spectacular. We watched the sunset and did some stargazing in the evening. Wild horses from the nearby Ute reservation came to graze directly outside our room, which was really cool to watch.

United States of AmericaThe restaurant on site was very short staffed, it being the end of the season, so we opted for much faster take out and ate in our room once and once in the Lodge library space. Food was very tasty.
Great to be right inside Mesa Verde Park. I loved our balcony where I sat about an hour before sunrise and gazed at the sky stuffed with stars and savored the immense and wonderful silence.Rooms are on the small side but comfortable.

United States of AmericaToilet paper holder was non-existent. I did not like handling a half-used roll of paper that was sitting on the back of the toilet. Coffee maker messed up a couple of times, but it did make coffee for me and friends in the next room. Their coffeemaker did not work. There were no maps to be handed out, they were out.
Room was comfortable. I have stayed here before and had better views, but this stay was adequate.

United States of AmericaI thought the place was just fine - don't have any grand expectations and you'll like it - no tvs in room again didn't bother me , internet slow - but u r in the middle of a national park. You had to walk to a different location to get breakfast - not bad for me but maybe other people.
Old fashioned lodge In Mesa verde - at the top of the park. Each room has a balcony. It is dated but it's this hotel or camping. There was a main lodge building where u can get a decent dinner (great views) in summer u can sit outside rheee us a pub if u can't get into the main restaurant I liked the trout and the hominy salad - beds comfy, room clean, bathroom ok small but clean (ample hot water)- zero glamor. Did I say the sunrise on my deck was amazing At the main lodge there is a game room, pool table, pac man, place to watch movies. Nice staff -

United States of AmericaRoom small. Pretty poorly built, but decent in this remote area. Shampoo, conditioner, body wash totally empty, we walked to the desk and got a bar soap and the rest in tiny condiment containers (our first time seeing this, it looks like you have some mayo as shampoo). Wifi is none in the room, you need to sit at the lobby for that. Best to bring your favorite book. Large restaurant for breakfast and lunch with large windows, make sure you check the time when they close.
Inside the national park so it's very convenient, nice and quiet place in the middle of the high desert. Restaurant for dinner is good, good food and nice large place with good service and views.

United States of AmericaThe walls were so thin conversations, noises and smoke made it into our room much to our discomfort. A microwave would have been a welcome addition to the refrigerator. Staffing levels were not adequate to accommodate the number of guests staying within the park.
The view was nice as was the location within the park. The room provided a place to unwind after a day in the park. A spartan room in a park such as this felt very appropriate.

United States of AmericaUpon arrival, we got our room key and unloaded the car and luggage into our room, only to find out we were given the wrong room. We found this out, not because of the staff at the check in counter, but from the couple who's room it was supposed to be. Super lame to have to pack everything back up and into the car and relocate. The room we ended up staying in was not clean, the floor were dusty and we couldn't even get into the bureau because it was smashed up against the bed. The restaurant service was also ridiculously slow and there was a disgusting fish smelling odor in the lobby of the hotel. Gross.
The location was terrific. Being in the park was a huge bonus and saved a lot of driving time.

United States of AmericaWhile our room was clean and comfortable, it was a bit tight. What I was truly disappointed in was the view. We were the only ones staying in the “row” of rooms, our window and porch view was of a big bush. Many other vacant rooms had far better of a view of this beautiful part of the world. Since it was just the one day we were staying, we did not bother asking to be moved. However, I am in the hospitality industry and we always move/upgrade in instances such as this.

CanadaWe reserved a deluxe double room with a view, and the unsmiling desk person snapped that we were lucky to get such a room on short notice. However, the room (#152) didn't actually have much of a view. It was partially obstructed by trees, so that our main view was of the two-storey block of rooms below. Despite Mesa Verde's designation as an International Dark Sky Park, we were blasted all night by the exterior lights of those rooms. It was a warm night, and the choice was to pull the shades down completely and have darkness but no breeze, or to have a breeze and light shining in our faces. In the end, we pulled the shades and left the front door open all night in order to get some air. This excess and obtrusive lighting really needs to be addressed, not only for the comfort of guests but also to be in compliance with Dark Sky guidelines. Other negatives (since you asked!): The bathtub tap dripped constantly. We had dinner at the restaurant and waited nearly an hour for the first dish and then received an over-salted salad that was truly inedible (new employee in the kitchen, it was explained). It took two hours to have a simple dinner that should have taken 45 minutes max. Overall, I'm glad we stayed there for the location, but I probably wouldn't return. We stayed in the campground the next night and enjoyed it.
The location inside the park is excellent, especially if you're planning on going out early for trail walks. The view, especially from the restaurant, is expansive and beautiful. The room was comfortable, quiet and rather elegant (gorgeous sink), although a bit small with all the furniture. Despite warnings about there being no wifi in the rooms, we had good connectivity in ours.
