You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

NetherlandsThe conformation e-mail stated that the reception was open until 9 pm. We drove really fast, and were at the property at 8.55 pm, but no one was there. We were a little bit panicking, because we hadn't read the mail in which the check-in was explained. We tried to use the emergency telephone that was hanging next to the office, but that didn't seem to work. Fortunately we then thought of checking our e-mail and all the info was indeed there. The security code on the door worked really well, so it was all our own fault that we hadn't checked our mail properly. But maybe you might consider giving this information (about the chekc-in mail) in the conformation mail, instead of stating the opening hours of the office.
The swimming pool was fantastic! It was quiet and clean. We visited Lake Shasta which is really close, and Lassen Volcanic Park on the next day which was a bit further away but still OK to travel to. The fact that there was a code on the door instead of a key was really useful (but see my other notes for a little sidenote on this concept)

United States of AmericaWe had problems trying to check in, the door wouldn't unlock and the manager was at a concert so didn't get the new code to us until late that night - we were already in bed. We also couldn't get the TV to work - we are not too techy savy. Cleanliness was marginal with hanging dustwebs thruout. There wasn't a place to eat close by and the web directions had us passing the exit, going down 4 more exits, turning around and coming right back.
This was a quaint 50's ish travel lodge. The furnishings were very rustic in effect and was very nice. The bedding was very comphy. The people we connected with were very courtious.

United States of AmericaIt was confusing to book this room with a credit card and pay on arrival, then be called shortly before the trip to be told that the location needed to run my credit card over the phone before I got there and that my room would be unlocked with the key in it. I checked the number in my phone to make sure it wasn't a scam to get my credit card information. I have never had that experience when traveling. I understand the limits of arriving around 9 pm during the off season with staffing shortages as they are these days and am glad I had the option to arrive when needed. It was unsettling as a woman traveling alone with children to show up to a place with no staff and an unlocked room. It was unclear where to park. The toilet ran all night long, despite my efforts to adjust the chain in the tank to make it stop. The fridge had been (and was still) unplugged and had defrosted, making a puddle in front of it, so the floor was wet. The internet would not work, neither for the emergency call I received from work in the middle of the night which I needed to access internet for, nor for the kids to utilize Netflix. When I left in the morning (after 8 am) there was no staff around and no directions had been left for how to check out. I never met a staff person.
The beds were comfortable, the table and chairs outside very cozy and nice. The staff person I spoke with on the phone was friendly and kind.
