Loved the olden days motel feel in a modernized room. Near everything. Adored the chickens running around the property.

The only thing to improve is a little bit of maintenance. It seemed there were some places around the property that could use a bit of paint--just some freshening up. I also felt our bathroom could use some freshening up. The tub floor appeared to be damaged and didn't look totally clean (though it probably was as clean as you could get it). The corners on the bathroom floor looked like they had accumulated dirt (as they do after awhile--or it could be just the appearance after many years of wear). These are not show-stoppers though!

Breakfast was outstanding--nice selection! Staff is extremely friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the uniqueness of the property. The little pub was a nice place to hang out in the evening. My sister took many photos of your beautiful roosters and the young chicks. She plans to do a painting of them! Thank you for providing a computer for guest use. I also liked that you had a place to hang up clothes and an ironing board & iron in the room. Finally, we enjoyed walking around the property and adjacent properties for a morning or evening walk--felt very safe.

Not a fan of the roosters at 6:30 in the morning. Breakfast was gross. One of our beds squeaked and I was afraid it was going to break with my active kids.

Location is good. I liked that there were menus in the lobby for quick reference for food. The place looks nice. Bonus that parking is right in front of our door.

Almost all of the light bulbs were out in our room.

I wish the breakfast had been fresh. The breakfast was ok just limited..more like snacks.

The room looked and felt aged. The furniture was old and ancient. The bathroom bath tub needed to be changed out. It wasn't appealing at all. Our stay was a weekend away from home, but the room had absolutely no romantic feel.

I like that it felt more like an apartment complex than a hotel.

Maybe mop the floors in the rooms. With there being wood flooring my feet were black after walking around barefoot.

Did not know there was breakfast. Wasn’t in any information that I read. I would have loved to have breakfast without having to leave the property. I liked the old style feeling and the old trees around.

This motel could be phenomenal with probably a weeks worth of cosmetic touch ups. Painting and cleaning. The grounds are very nice and the room was great but the exterior could use some love.

Very quaint, nice motel! Room was clean and cool. Beds were very comfy and the shower had plenty of pressure. The pool was wonderful! The location was safe.

Floor-to-room was dirty. I don't think it had been mopped in a while. I wore white socks with my tennis shoes. I took my shoes off and the bottom of my socks was black with in 5 minutes, not gray but black

I was disappointed that the pool was closed during my stay.

I didn't have the breakfast, but the coffee in my room was good. I like the rooms. The mattress was a little uncomfortable but my room was cozy. It was clean and staff was friendly and helpful.

Nostalgic. Loved not having carpet on the floor. Made for a cleaner look and easy breathing. Food recommendation was above par, great price and the staff was professional, friendly and genuine.

A cozy place to stay that doesn't feel like a cookie cutter box hotel. The pub is also fun. Limited food offerings but what they do have is very good.

Had trouble using the key to open the door. Had to go back to the registration desk for help. Another room was having the same issue. Had to pull on the door and then use the key. Was hit or miss! Sometimes opened on first try, sometime it took about 15 times to get the door open. Toilet seat was loose.

Kelly at the Merry Acres Pub was AMAZING. We went both nights to sit with her.
