The bathroom could be cleaner - specifically, the showers are kinda gross. It’s odd because the rest of the room and sink area are super clean and updated but the showers are full of stains and mildew. I’ve stayed in 2 separate rooms and both had icky showers.

Location, easy free parking, spacious rooms, comfy beds, nice attention to detail on the room amenities. Has fridge, cooler, bike rack, coat racks, microwave, kettle, storage space. Coffee bar at reception is a nice touch!

Room was clean and as pictured. Facilities were a little run down but nothing crazy and it is a winter lodge primarily. Contactless check in and check out. as I was there after 5p and left very early..I never saw anyone. Not a bad thing per se.

Not the cleanest, the appearance was also different from what they offered in their pictures (at least the room that we were given). At the moment of my reservation I thought the wooden sealing was so gorgeous but they gave us a plain room that looked different, even when we paid for “delux” or something like that. The shape of the bathtub was also poor.

Great location in proximity with the ski park. Confortable beds, quick check in and check out. Spacious rooms.

Our teen was a bit disappointed that there were no s’mores. The smores were hyped up but we didn’t find any.

The handrails gave me 2 splinters. The steps area and hallway needs repair work and paint. The shower head was pointed to the door so water went on the floor but was to high to change. We had ants the 1st night. No hair dryer and we couldn't find many electrical plugs to plug in our phones. Other guests at fire pit talked about the hotel info said you could make s'more but no one had any idea whete to get the ingredients. I started exploring and found the candy, graham crackers and marshmallows for s'mores in the room by the kitchen. That should have been on an info text. Everyone was so happy when I showed them where they were.

Loved the keyless entry with code sent to us. The firepit was warm, inviting and we enjoyed talking to the hotel guests. The kitchen was great to cook dinner one night. We checked out bikes and rode the 2nd day after skiing. S'more were fun to make as we visited with new friends around the firepit.

Shower had very little water pressure, it was difficult to wash off shampoo. The bathroom could also be cleaner. Mattresses were not very comfy, for the price I expected better sleeping experience.

Newly renovated rooms without smelly carpets, good design and materials, good TV, location. They have an interesting Finlandia cafe on the premises, although I didn't have time to check it out.

Bathroom needs upgrade! Painting over the old sink vanity is very cheesy and doesn’t look clean. No plug in sink drain. I almost lost an earring down the drain. You need to replace old sink vanities with new ones. As I sat on the toilet and looked at the floor edge of the tub I saw there is no rubber, wood or metal trim. Looks scummy with past years of built up scum. I assume it was cleaned as best you could without replacing tub but a piece of trim to cover the old would make a big difference in the appearance of cleanliness. I’ll agree with another reviewer that new bedding ; sheets, blankets, pillows would give the rooom a more fresh and classy appearance. I’m a longtime customer of Finlandia; sad that sauna was removed as is was a unique feature I always used.

I like the outdoor feel of the motel. I was only here for one night but good to be supplied with bike rack, ice chest etc if I needed them. Hammock in room is unique and fun!

The mandatory $25 fee for using gear should be optional. Unfinished wall. Broken bike rack. Community sink faucets loose. The male employee was not very professional and it felt like we were inconveniencing him with questions; unhelpful.

Two bedrooms. All weather flooring. Outdoorsy vibe! Great artwork. Cool common areas Female employee at the front desk and the cleaning staff were all very friendly.

I must express my disappointment with the condition of the room I was assigned. Upon arrival, I immediately noticed a strong and unpleasant odor permeating the space. It resembled the scent of multiple dogs living in the room for an extended period, which made my stay quite uncomfortable. Additionally, I observed that the floors were not adequately cleaned, dog food under the couch, and there were traces of dirt and debris in various areas. Furthermore, the condition of the bathroom was unsatisfactory, as there were visible pubic hairs present, which raised concerns about the overall cleanliness and sanitation of the room

Despite cleanliness issues, I would like to acknowledge that the only redeeming aspect of my stay was the cleanliness and comfort of the bed.

Our room was very rustic, spacious. Outdoor Picnic Tables, BBQ Area, Fire Pit enjoyable. Cafe provided free Coffee for guests every morning. Location close to downtown Shasta restaurants. Surrounded by Forest.

The rooms were a little hoaky. A quick drive throughout the city will confirm that all the hotels in the area are the same. I would suggest that future lodgers not expect the look & feel of even the Holiday Inn. Remember, these are old buildings.

It was in a perfect location. The surroundings are obviously what attracts people here. The staff was friendly and informative. The restaurants are good to. If you love the outdoors, this is the place to go.

There is no staff on site after 7pm and they are supposed to email you a contract and code for your door. Somehow, I never received mine and had to hunt down the right person by phone at 9pm. They did respond within 10 minutes and we're apologetic and friendly.. The only other negatives is that the walls are thin and the family next to me was quite loud until later and there are no trash cans in the room.... Trash needs to be disposed of outside. Overall,, this would be a great place for vacationers in this area as the location is great and the surrounding are beautiful!

This place is made for adventure travelers. The rooms are spacious, beds are comfortable, and rooms come equipped with a hammock, bike racks and a yeti cooler in the room (in addition to the fridge). There are multiple picnic areas outside and, although I missed it, they host a s'more making at the fire pit in the evening. Fun place!

Didn’t enjoy the useless resort fee or missing amenities. The staff also erroneously charged my card and I had to contact them about it. All of the emails and messaging was in some weirdly over-cheery tone that felt kind of unnatural…
