I had originally booked my stay for 3 days and payed for it, $220. I asked to extend my stay for one more night, Monday and it cost me $75. I never once requested maid service, I swept my room myself, I cleaned the air filters in the A/C unit with soap water and a toothbrush, I only once requested 2 hand towels and 2 wash cloths. I am the perfect guest. I even took out all my own trash. They could have cut me a break.

The rooms were a little dated. When I first arrived, it didn't look like the floors had been swept in a long time but to be fair I was in a smoking room and I'm sure they probably don't have much call for those rooms. I just went and got a broom and swept them myself. I enjoyed the fact that I was at the very end. It was very private, peaceful, and quiet.

Highway noise a little loud, staff not the most accommodating, I really needed a late check out because I had worked a night shift and was working the next night. Hoping for a 1300 vs 1100 checkout, but a no go.

Bed was a bit uncomfortable. Electrical outlets didn’t hold charger cubes very well. The bathtub and the base of the toilet had brown smudges and drips from the cleaning tools. That was gross.

Twice I was approached by strange men while outside of my room. I realize this is not managements fault. It was just a bit odd to have had no one but two men appear from nowhere to chat.

Carpet on floor needs to come up. Smell was overwhelming in the room. Not sure what it was. Bathroom needed updating. Shower head was for short statured people.

For the price it was a perfect last minute find to stop. We were passing through and a big storm hit so we decided to find something close. A happy medium and the staff was very welcoming and pleasant

How quick we were booked into our room. The size of our room, which was very spacious and clean. The everlasting amazing hot water and the friendly and attentive staff.

We didn't like getting to the motel. It's a little screwy. Not the motel's fault, but the city or surrounding property owners should upgrade the road. Also, we did not realize until we almost left that the ac/heater was on the back, inside wall. Not under the front window as in most places. Our own fault really. We were tired and less observant than usual. A sign or notice would have been helpful.

We arrived extremely late and left very early. We did not have a chance to sample anything but the bed and shower! However, the room was large, clean, had all the amenities, and served us well. Don't expect a five-star hotel. But Finn's is perfect for traveler's looking for something near the highway that's clean and friendly. Saving money is a bonus.

Bath tub faucet dripped. Heat was shut off when we arrived, took several hours to warm up. Smelled musty upon arrival. Not the most comfortable bed, but worked for a night.

Nicely located in St. James, close to gas stations, food and the dollar general. Not a bunch of people.
