Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaNot a bad thing but be aware the room floors are primarily terrazzo or polished concrete with large hip decorative rugs.
The Flamingo Resort has a Frank Sinatra old hip 50’s vibe. Resort is well laid out with the focus the large swimming pool. Perfect for families with kids.

DenmarkRooms badly need updating & soundproofing! A gap under the door & you can literally hear the conversation next door. Windows were filthy but the view of the car park wasn’t great anyway. Noisy plastic mattress covers on the single beds - we didn’t have very young children!

United States of AmericaWe had stayed at the flamingo twice previously, and had always rented one of the large rooms with the patios. Unfortunately, none of the large patio rooms come with multiple beds which we needed to have as the king room is not comfortable for multiple people. The king size bed while nice is all the sleeping accommodations that the room really provides. The fold out sofa is extremely uncomfortable. In a bid to make the room very authentic mid century, they sacrificed comfort by getting a “mid century sofa“ with a “fold out bed.” So we hoped that by getting a double room this time that would be a big benefit. Unfortunately the double room was so microscopic, and the “double” beds were so tiny that it was too uncomfortable, and we had to cut short our stay. The double room would only work if you were simply going there to see friends and not doing anything in the room, but getting dressed. There was no real space for anything else I would strongly suggest booking well in advance, so you don’t pay the huge amount to book a patio rooms which can now reach out to four figures (!) per night. Which is not worth it. If you want to really get the mid century feel of Santa Rosa, there are other options which are vastly more affordable and MUCH MORE comfortable. That’s not to say we won’t be back because I LOVE The Flamingo , but be realistic if you’re going to put down that amount of money.
The Flamingo is a beautiful hotel with gorgeous, mid century architecture, which has been meticulously restored. The restaurant which was almost an inedible about a year ago, has stepped up its gameand absolutely has improved their cooking /menu. I was very happy with my cocktail, my little gem salad and just the ambience of the Lazeaway restaurant. Having a friend who lives in town come to visit me for a drink was a joy The wait staff was so great and everyone that was working in the restaurant was kind, helpful, etc. As usual, you can’t beat the Flamingo pool anywhere in Santa Rosa. It’s an architectural marvel and humongous and just perfect for swimming. Again -just fantastic! Location too. You never have to want for a drug store or a grocery store. There’s an IHOP and nearby is the famous Hanks Creekside restaurant. We decided to cut our stay very short, which I will explain in the other section. However, the staff was so incredibly excellent. Shane especially is one of the nicest people I’ve ever encountered in a business establishment. Even dealing with booking.com and the fact that you have to call them, etc. they were so helpful.

United States of AmericaStaff seemed a little harried. Friend purchased champagne & snacks to drink delivered on Friday. Staff delivered it to an empty room by mistake then it took several hours to get it correctly delivered. Hotel restaurant could have more selections, only offered a limited selection of mostly bar food.
Bed was very comfy. Room has a 2nd door exiting to parking lot, handy.
