Very pleasant place to stay in great location in Boulder

This is an attractive little motel in a very pleasant setting with 'doorstep' access to many trails on the edge of Boulder and a 20-min creek-side walk through a park into the Downtown area. The staff were welcoming and friendly, the room was spacious and comfortable, and breakfast was provided in the price (as well as complementary tea and coffee throughout the day) which made it better value than some if still one of the more expensive motels we encountered on our 3-week trip. Would recommend.

The bathroom, especially the bath tub, was not super clean. And the heating and fridge made a lot of noise.

Beautiful location, pleasant staff and very accommodating. I felt right at home and it was very nice to have a little cabin to myself. I felt connected to nature.

Nothing to complain about. Some of the plumbing was a bit faulty, but this has more to do with corporate and plumbers being hired to deal with such issues. For the most part, there is little if anything to complain about or say that I "didn't like it."

The location is very nice. Although cited as "Boulder, CO," Foot of the Mountain is kinda like a small town outside of Boulder. Since I had a service dog with me, the "woodsy" terrain near the motel was a pleasure for him to roam. Room was decent sized and very comfortable for myself and my service dog. The breakfast was modest, yet completely acceptable and it was free of charge, always a nice hospitality. The staff was very available and helpful..

Memory Lane with an upgraded twist.

Although parking was right outside our door, and it had snowed recently, the steps leading to the room were snow covered and a bit icy, as ours was one of the few entries that did not have a covered roof over the entry. Found only one plug in the room, (under the desk), which made charging a bit difficult.

A quirky, older motel that takes you back in time but with upgraded facilities mixed with 50's charm. Small but very clean. The bed was very comfortable. Breakfast very good and well attended. They allowed us an early check in and staff were exceptionally friendly.

We were satisfied but found the lighting in the room to be a bit wanky, Squeaky door to the bathroom and rustic plumbing.

Foot of the Mountain is on the western edge of Boulder and about a mile to downtown and to "The Hill". My adult kids and I stayed for a ski vacation and its 45 min to 2 hours from most of the Colorado ski resorts. There is a hot tub but only for a couple of the rooms so if that is important, read carefully. Simple Breakfast was just what we needed. Thanks Patty and the rest of the staff!

The staff is very helpful and nice. They are accommodating to a person's needs. Both my dog and I thoroughly enjoyed it here. The location is great. Doesn't have the "hustle and bustle" of central Boulder, yet it's not far from places to eat and shop. My dog and I both liked the location. Just as the name of the motel, "Foot of the Mountain," it is literally at the foot of the mountain. There's a park nearby that's good for both people and dogs. I will definitely recommend this motel to someone staying in Boulder.

Rustic, charming, 'Old Boulder' spot right up against the mountains--Best place to stay in town!
    • Leisure trip

This is my favorite place to stay in Boulder. It's like a throwback to when days were simpler and before Boulder became 'SO Boulder.' This place has heart and charm and is in the best location in town--because it's just out of town and up against the mountains, across from Eben J. Park. Favorite place to stay when I come to Boulder. They've got a simple breakfast, coffee and smiles from the office staff all day. It's an older place and that's WHY I stay here. If you want a brand new chain hotel, this place isn't for you and that leaves more room for folks who will appreciate it. :)
