The bathroom, especially the bath tub, was not super clean. And the heating and fridge made a lot of noise.

Beautiful location, pleasant staff and very accommodating. I felt right at home and it was very nice to have a little cabin to myself. I felt connected to nature.

The stove did not work in the Hideaway.

I liked the location and the wood paneling on the walls. Really enjoyed the jacuzzi.

it's very cozy, simple place. It's great to do some hikes, also walking distance to downtown. Don't expect anything fancy, but it attended all my needs. Staff friendly and breakfast was good.

Although parking was right outside our door, and it had snowed recently, the steps leading to the room were snow covered and a bit icy, as ours was one of the few entries that did not have a covered roof over the entry. Found only one plug in the room, (under the desk), which made charging a bit difficult.

A quirky, older motel that takes you back in time but with upgraded facilities mixed with 50's charm. Small but very clean. The bed was very comfortable. Breakfast very good and well attended. They allowed us an early check in and staff were exceptionally friendly.

We were satisfied but found the lighting in the room to be a bit wanky, Squeaky door to the bathroom and rustic plumbing.

Foot of the Mountain is on the western edge of Boulder and about a mile to downtown and to "The Hill". My adult kids and I stayed for a ski vacation and its 45 min to 2 hours from most of the Colorado ski resorts. There is a hot tub but only for a couple of the rooms so if that is important, read carefully. Simple Breakfast was just what we needed. Thanks Patty and the rest of the staff!

The staff is very helpful and nice. They are accommodating to a person's needs. Both my dog and I thoroughly enjoyed it here. The location is great. Doesn't have the "hustle and bustle" of central Boulder, yet it's not far from places to eat and shop. My dog and I both liked the location. Just as the name of the motel, "Foot of the Mountain," it is literally at the foot of the mountain. There's a park nearby that's good for both people and dogs. I will definitely recommend this motel to someone staying in Boulder.

Retro and Rustic Charm near the Mountain, Yet Close to the Action!

I'm not a fan of carpets, so I'd just replace with laminate flooring when it wears out.

This is an older, slightly rustic property, with a lot of charm. It's in a great location next to the mountain, but not far from Pearl Street and all the restaurants and shops there. There's hiking very nearby, and they provide lots of suggestions on things to do in the area. The breakfast is very nice, with cereals, breads, lots of fruit, yogurt, and packaged muffins, as well as hard boiled eggs. They also provide plant milks on request, which is appreciated. Both the lady who checked us in, and the lady who was there in the morning, were very nice and helpful. Would definitely stay here again!

It’s rustic. And that’s ok. Don’t expect 5 star accommodations.

We loved the location. It’s beautiful and walkable (if you want) to Pearl St. We love the rustic feel. Really felt like we were in a mountain cabin. Friendly staff.

The bathroom was very cold and we also had to put a towel at the base of the front door because there was a large space under the door where cold air was flowing in.

We really liked the cozy look of the room and the location of the motel.

Both the shower and basin had plumbing problems and backed up with water almost immediately. The shower was also rotting in places.

The location was exceptional. Arriving at night was pretty magical with festoon lighting and mountains in the background. Great proximity to mountains (even deer outside my window one afternoon) and Boulder Creek trail. Breakfast was simple but good.
