The water pressure for the shower was a bit weak but I've stay in high end hotels that had worse. Definitely not a make or break.

It was spacious, very clean, and smelled great. The neighborhood seemed nice and it was close to McCormick Place so very convenient. We'd love to stay again next year

The welcome of Latrina was very nice, sge explained all and gave lot's of tips to explore the environment. It's next to a Baptist Church where you can join the Sunday service, quite an experience. It's 13 minutes walk to the trian station and that works all very well, in 30 minutes you're in Downtown and the bus is also easy to use. Quiet environment, slept well. Recommend it!

Upon arriving which was already acknowledged at 2pm of arrival time yet when we enter the unit the alarm was armed which was strange especially if you knew someone booked the downstairs unit…. The owner stated when she realized we checked in she tried to hurry up and come home because she was scared was kind of offense especially with traveling with just myself and children ages 4,8 and 10 not sure what terror we brought but I brushed it off…There was no sink other than the one in the bathroom which kept getting filled with water without going down. Instead of saying a kitchenette should just say microwave and fridge..not ideal for extended stay. Even though we had quiet hours 9pm-7am it was very noisy upstairs during those hours. It was an incident where the owner opened the upstairs door to say something about my kids father dropping off food it would be additional 30$ if I wanted to put him on the reservation I stated he is not staying he was dropping off food due to it being too late to travel with my kids and same instance the rules are no smoking weed on the property which he did in his car he did have the essence of weed and she made a comment that she can see smoke coming from the basement which was a lie but there is no rule that states you can not smell like weed…so that was strange yet cigarettes smells was ok which didn’t make any sense. It did feel like staying with strict parents and they say they don’t watch you but they do. Property says it accommodates 8ppl but I’m not sure how that is possible with the bed sizes. The owner stated they don’t ppl knowing where they live yet your business is at your home so I was confused

The biggest disappointment for us was the fact that we couldn't entertain our children from the space. We are world travelers and hadn't seen our 2 grown children in almost a year. We were told no long gatherings and if someone spent the night that it would cost $30 extra/person. As a host myself, I'd never discourage older people from having guests. We are both in our 50s. There was no threat of noise or parties. It was winter in Chicago and we had to go out to visit them. There was also a sewage smell in the bathroom. It wasn't a deal breaker because we covered the drain and closed the bathroom door. TV in bedroom didn't show Netflix (not a problem though).

We loved the location and the fact that restaurants and tea shops were near. It was very clean and comfortable. Friendly host. They had coffee, tea and 2 bottles of water for guest. There was plenty of parking on the street. The combination code box was fantastic for easy access. Marvelously decorated with pictures of art and accents. Beautiful space. The bed was super comfortable. If it was cold, there was a nice space heater to warm the room. Sheets, pullows and towels were excellent. Big TV with Netflix and fast internet connection.

Personal touch of the owners. Helped us with the remote control for television also. They were extremely friendly and approachable. Big apartment that was clean and comfy. Would go there again!

Everything was excellent.

The host was very friendly & welcoming, showed us where to find anything we needed. My sister & I were in town for a concert. The suite was very clean, spacious, and quiet, with a private & secure entrance. Our vehicle was safe parked on the street the whole time we were there. It was all-around a great experience. Would definitely recommend staying here!

The stench that was coming from the bathroom , and the cold bedroom that we wasn’t aware of until upon arrival. However they did have a space heater to use in that room. I didn’t like that there was no Kitchen for us to cook in the two bedroom apartment.

The property owner was nice and when a problem was addressed about the bath tub drainage they were quick to fix the problem.

As a basement unit, there isn't too much natural light, but that's not something that can be easily changed. While we can drink water from the tap, it would be nice to have a place to refill water bottles. In addition, it would have been nice to have had more reusable plates and utensils rather than Styrofoam and plastic. Lastly, since it is below the hosts' house, there are times when one can hear noises or the TV coming from upstairs, although it was never too bothersome.

It was a very spacious area, great wifi, comfortable beds, and a great shower. It was located only 15 minutes from the Green Line and was a safe neighborhood. Appreciated the security features within the house and the hosts were incredibly kind and very communicative.

If you need to attend any function at the University of Chicago, this place is conveniently located. We stayed here for my daughter's graduation and it worked perfectly.
