Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaThere was nothing I didn’t like about the property. I highly recommend and intend to stay again.
Charming, lovingly restored inn tucked into a little neighborhood just blocks from historic downtown. Comfortable bed, friendly staff, welcome drink, and nice breakfast.

United States of AmericaStreet parking only for those that are not going on a cruise. Free garage parking the day before or day after you go on cruise. And you would have to walk across under the freeway(interstate) to go back and forth to your car. Our room was advertised as being sound proof. It was quiet other than hearing out neighbor above walking across their floor.
I liked the attention to details. The staff was efficient, helpful and courteous. Rooms were clean. Our view from our window was the brick streets. Walking distance to downtown Mobile, the Mobile cruise terminal and attractions. A free or discounted breakfast with our reservation to Bistro St Emanuel. $$. Over all we had a wonderful time exploring the down town historic areas.

Loved how it was close to everything while maintaining a quiet atmosphere and feeling of seclusion. I also loved the historic feel and the complimentary drinks we were given a voucher for when we arrived. Very charming!

United States of AmericaInflexible staff. Arrived an hour early and property was less than half full but wouldn't check us in unless we paid extra. Not a nice experience. Very strict rules about many things. Previously they would cook a breakfast that was served in the lovely dining room. Now you go to their "Bistro" (which is nice) but you are very limited in your breakfast, must pay a fee regardless and pay extras for other items. Not what I expected from them at the price they charge or for any B and B. Perhaps they are becoming more "corporate" in their approach instead of boutique and intimate. Still a nice property but may look around next time.
Location and property. We have stayed there before and like the proximity to downtown. Nice rooms and area to walk in.

United States of AmericaAn elegant enclave of vintage buildings clustered together to form a special place. We enjoyed a complimentary cocktail along with our dinner at the Bistro, just across the street from our room. We also easily walked into the center of town with a park, museum and other features of interest. And breakfast the next morning, again at the Bistro and complimentary, was the icing on the cake!

United States of AmericaCould do without the 2 am train whistle that woke us straight out of bed and maybe add what rooms aren’t part of the original house. Nothing that would keep me from booking again though!

United States of AmericaThis is so minor, but if you are a light sleeper and there on a Sunday you might awaken to loudspeakers at the nearby Carnival Cruise terminal. Lol.
The free breakfast for guests was very nice. Plus you have the option to pay for other dishes which were delicious and reasonably priced.

United States of AmericaEarly check in (1 hr early) not available except for a fee even though the place was empty. Breakfast not up to quality of room. Again extra fees required. We've stayed here before but were disappointed in service this time. However, the room is very nice and the location is excellent. Next time we will try somewhere else.
