To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

BahamasI didn't like the issue we had with severe sneezing due to hightened humidity after showering. My husband and I both experienced it, and we ended up having nose bleeds. It occurred until a day or 2 after we left the hotel. It was awful!
To be honest, I didn't do much touring of the facility. I did like the location.

BahamasThere was no ice in the hotel. The new ice machine has been sitting there for 3 weeks and no one has installed it. I couldn't get ice for a cold drink. That is not acceptable 😔. Please stop fooling around and install the new ice machine.
The room was clean, the bed was excellent, the staff was friendly and very helpful. The air was clean. Thank you for comfortable accomodations. Please do lose that.

United States of AmericaI did not like the weed smoking that happens late evening into the night. I know it's no fault of the staff. The rooms are clearly marked NO SMOKING But some other guests were smoking marijuana the entire time we were there. I have an asthmatic child. Our last night we had to open the Windows and allow the air to be cleaned. I felt bad for the staff because it's clear they take pride in their work and try to keep the hotel inviting , there was no smelly garbage, but these inconsiderate guests seem to make their jobs harder with their foolish lifrstyles.
I liked that there were fresh towels everyday, didn't need to ask. I liked that the room was clean and smelled fresh when we arrived. The breakfast staff was amazing, very kind and helpful. I had my hands full with 3 toddlers under 5 and the breakfast staff member was so sweet. The breakfast area was very clean and inviting. Really liked all day coffee stand...the best!!

Property seems to be undergoing some upgrades to the rooms. Its not 5 star, but it was worth the price. I always enjoy my stay. The breakfast was sufficient and good grab and go.

BahamasThat was no pool as was shown in the brochure it was under renovation I the breakfast was not what I would have expected. And the furniture in the room needed to be upgrade the vent in the bathroom did not work in the room which we were assigned to.
The atmosphere the employees we're helpful and pleasant . Disappointing there was no pool and secondly the breakfast was not exactly what I was expecting even though we know that certain bands were lifted concerning covet overall it was a nice experience
