I got a little warm at night. It seems like the mattress protector may have been plastic. I slept on top of the sheet and the blanket and that really helped.

Jade was extremely helpful and courteous. The room was clean and freshly updated.

We were in room 7, and an hour or so after checking in, we realized the heat (a forced air system with vents throughout the room and bathroom) was blowing cold air rather than heat. There was nobody at the desk and the night wasn't supposed to be TOO cold, so we decided to chance it. The room ended up staying a reasonable temperature considering the nice blankets/comforter, but had it been a really cold night--hard to say.

It's an older motel that has been updated in the most important ways, so it was nice and comfortable and didn't feel dingy like it easily could have. Probably the best part, though, is that all you have to do is cross the street to get to the Mexican restaurant that I'm guessing is the best one in town.

Previous stays the hot water in the shower was a highlight - great water pressure and plenty of hot water. This year we had to let the water run for 5 minutes to get it hot enough and still not quite hot enough - did you change to a continuous water heater from a boiler type? New shower head is nice and the two of us were split on it - I liked it, my wife like the previous.

We have been staying at Fossil Butte every year for the last 6 years. New owners have made some nice updates. The new mattress was very comfortable. New furniture was very nice as well.

The door code did not work, but there was an actual key in a lock box I had access to right next to the door. In order to use the microwave, I had to move it so it could be plugged into a wall outlet as it kept kicking the power strip it was plugged into off. The strip had other items plugged into it that were not in use. However, I think the power strip was not right for the microwave.

The room was comfortable, roomy, warm, and clean. TV, fridge, microwave.

I paid an additional charge plus a pet deposit for our dog. While we were very careful and clean during our stay I haven't gotten the deposit back yet, so overall it was a bit more than I had expected to pay. The lot is also 100% gravel or paved so there's no real place to take pets.

The Fossil Butte Motel is super easy to get to, it's right on the main street through town and there is a great Mexican restaurant right across the street. The room itself was very clean and the beds were comfortable. The staff was very helpful and flexible, we arrived after hours and she was detailed about how to get into the room.

The outside looks worn and dated. Our room was in a corner down a hall with the cleaning cart and supplies right outside our door. In fact, the window in our room opened into the hallway and the cleaning cart.

This is a great little motel in the middle of Kemmerer. The inside is very nice. The beds were comfortable and it was very clean. It looks to have recently been updated.

There were issues with the shower water temperature. It was either hot or cold couldn't get warm.

A 24 hour laundromat and gas station close is convenient. Being able to check in after the office closed is helpful.

There is no staff on location, so when I arrived later than my expected arrival (due to traffic), I had to wait for someone to come to the motel so I could check in. There was no ice machine that I was aware of.

The room was clean, freshly painted. Bed was very comfortable and seemed new.

Only thing that needed attention was carpet. Time to replace - possibly vinyl plank for cleanliness.

The place was dark and no one was around. Phone not answered. No response to my voicemail. Then I get a note from booking.com saying I failed to check in. Correct. It was impossible to check in or stay there.

It was the least expensive motel in the area, and while it was much nicer than other places, I still dream of the days when a motel was only $30/night.

I was amazed that a small roadside motel would have such nicely updated rooms! It is right across the street from a good Mexican restaurant. It was a quick stop, so while fast wifi is typically of top importance, this time I didn't need it.

All was good

The room was recently remodeled and it was very nice. The most comfortable bed I have slept in in a motel. Very clean. We had to leave early and they refunded us the second night. That was very nice tol.

The shower pressure was awesome but the water temperature was a little unstable. It kept fluctuating between hot and cold. But it wasn’t bad..just had to adjust faucet temperature a couple times during shower.

Very clean. Beds we’re comfortable. Plenty of towels and supplies. Love the coffee creamers and full size coffee maker. Fridge and microwave in the room.
