Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaNo hooks to put your towels on, the bathroom would benefit from the air exhaust.
Great location with nice city views within the walking distance to all the main attractions. The hotel was very clean and nicely decorated with comfortable beds to relax after a long day. The staff was very helpful, and gave us a later checkout time. Would definitely stay again.

BrazilNo particular low points come to mind, though I did not have the chance to go to the breakfast buffet.
Overall great experience. Helpful staff, spacious and comfortable room, good wifi for video calls. Gym is also pretty decent, larger than average for smaller places.

United States of AmericaThe curtains didn't close all the way so there was some streetlight glare that made its way in. However, this was not a huge issue. The gym is also small but again not an issue since I was able to go for a few runs down to the National Mall.
The rooms are really fun and comfortable. The location relative to many parts of the city is hard to beat plus lots of great local food and coffee spots. The staff are really the jewel of the property; they are very helpful, cheery, and knowledgeable of the area. Close to metro so transport to and from DCA was a breeze.

GermanyThe water pressure was REALLY low, maybe it is just a problem at my room, but it took me hours to get a proper shower. Nothing that can't be fixed, so everything alright :)
Nice flair, cool people, awesome parties! And the record player on the room is a nice gadget. I like the interior and style of the rooms, especially the big bed and beautiful bathroom.

United States of AmericaI’m not a review writer, but I read all the reviews before I book a hotel so why not share?!?! We stayed in a room with a king size bed on the 8th floor . It was clean , the bed was comfy, it was spacious (enough for 3 days) and super cool .. had a “vibe”. Like any city , you will hear the sirens of police/ambulance in the middle of the night but as a light sleeper it truly wasn’t bad. There is a coffee shop with baked goods and breakfast attached to the hotel with an entrance from the lobby. There’s also a resturant. Sadly, we did not try the restaurant but the coffee at coffee shop was great ! This hotel also has a rooftop bar and on Fridays and Saturdays it gets busy and fun with great music. The location depending on what you want to do was perfect for us. It’s walking distance to many things but not the “nightlife” streets . We road bikes everywhere . We used the Lyft app to rent bikes (capital bikes)to get around the city. Those were SUPER easy to use! There’s a docking station about a 3 min walk from the Eaton. Hope this helped !

United States of AmericaThe room had a view of the roof-top airconditioning units. The phonograph stereo in the room was broken, the left channel was not working. Our plans conflicted with the scheduled spa events.
The cultural and inclusive vibe. The room was very comfortable. Simone, the front-desk person at check-in, was great.

CanadaThe coffee at Baker's Daughter could be better. Had to go down the street to Paul bakery cafe for good coffee.
This is more than a hotel. It's an experience. The Allegory speakeasy is now my favourite bar in the world. The rooftop bar is full of light and is beautiful. The rooms are cozy. Michel's has great food!

GermanyI was missing some more coat hangers or hooks to hang towles on to for drying in the bathroom. The lamp over the little table was hanging in an awkward spot / height. Always hit it when getting up from the little couch.
It was a great stay. Very clean and all the neccessary amenties for my stay. Lieked the record player plus the alternative to use the sound system to play my own music via blutooth. Location was great! The breakfast burritos in the litte cafe were excellent! Would definitely recommend the hotel.

This was a great boutique hotel. Staff friendly and helpful. Location was AWESOME - very convenient for multiple Metro stops! I felt safe walking back to hotel at night. Room and bed was comfortable (bathroom on the smallish size if sharing with travel partner). Room / hall was quiet at night. Cafe was yummy (didn’t try the restaurant) roof top bar/patio would be awesome in warmer weather!
