Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of America30 minutes S of Sacramento, The owners of Freeport Wind Country Inn were welcoming, helpful and have renovated and created simple, charming period inspired rooms. No cute chatskis to clutter the space. Comfy bed and plenty of room, there are spa bathtubs in each room. In the Sacramento River Delta region, away from the highway, you can easily venture out for a day trip or walk along the levees. Last 2 hours before Sunset are stunning, with Vineyards on your right, and the waterway and egrets on the left. There was a local fisherman's bar across the parking lot for a great steak, brunch on the weekend, as well as weekday breakfast from 7 onward in the nearby Golf Course Pub. The 2nd day we drove S to Cosumnes River Preserve, where we saw huge flocks of Snow Geese and wintering ducks and geese. No pesky keys or cards to lose, the front door had a numberical code I took a photo of for easy in and outs.

United States of AmericaThere wasn't much to not like. I did experience a few ants crawling on the bathroom sink but I brought that to the staff attention and they gave me something to use, that was helpful.
I enjoyed the bottle of wine I purchased and the jacuzzi bath. it took me awhile to figure out how the TV worked but once I did that was relaxing. it was helpful to have blinds on the windows to keep out the heat.

United States of AmericaThe spa tub is dated, a little funky around the edges. Bed was ok, though it felt a bit cheap. The view from our room looks out on an RV park on one side, and across a field and freeway to Walmart. Could use curtains to cut the lights that come through slats in the blinds. Clutter in the hallway.
Wonderful host, so friendly! Great to arrive before 6pm and find the wine bar and restaurant open, with excellent food. Spa tub in room was a delightful change from the ordinary.

United States of AmericaThe only thing I would suggest is adding a comfortable sitting chair to the room somehow.
Freeport is family owned which is a plus for me. It is located very close to an event I participate in annually This is my second stay there

United States of AmericaThere was no staff on site ever and that was a bit strange. I didn't care for climbing in and out of the deep spa tub to take a shower, in fact my husband slipped and fell when he got out.
Location was great for being close to the freeway and meeting my friends for dinner at the Grill next door.

United States of AmericaThe property was not as advertised online or in a brochure. The bistro is not open, and even though it’s called The Freeport Wine Country Inn, there was no offer or even purchase possibility at check in to have a glass of wine like we’ve had at other inns. When the owners/management staff opened the door for us during check in hours, they seemed surprised that we were there. They asked if we were guests. Maybe it was an off day for them. It just didn’t feel welcoming.
The front of the property was attractive, but our room had a view of items that should have been in a garage or hidden from view in a shed. The actual room was fine.

United States of AmericaWish I had seen a staff member to thank the next morning. We couldn't find anybody to check out with, so we left the key in the room. Screen door on the patio would have been nice, so we could enjoy the delta breezes without bringing bugs into the room.
Bed was comfy. A/C worked great! Jacuzzi tub was fun. Perfect spot to stay after our wedding at Scribner Bend. I loved that they gave us a bottle of wine!

I like this little place. It feels unique and special. It's less than 15 minutes to my sister's house and I don't need to use the freeway at all to get there. We had lunch at the Bar and Grill next door and it was excellent. Thanks.
