It was a great location, we could drop off our bags or come back for a rest or use the bathroom, since it’s right downtown.

There wasn't anything to not like. If you are really tall the entry way seems very low. Fortunately we were mostly short!

Love it's on the main street and easy to pop in and out of if you need too! Also love it has a parking spot! It is older which is part of the charm.

They need to show address better in back and clean up even the neighbors need to clean up there put some flowers out and clean it all up back there the neighbors looked like they just threw their trash back there how 😝 gross!!

The weather! It rained all day Sunday.

Easy to grab keys, great free parking spot, location was amazing, clean, tidy, clear instructions on how to work all electronics, communication from owners on when needing to check out and move car. This charming spot was perfect and much larger than I thought it was going to be! I would absolutely stay here again!

TV reception was sketchy. Kitchen could use a straight edge knife and scrubby for doing dishes. Couldn't figure out how to use the exhaust fan in the bathroom. Lighting was pretty dim.

We couldn’t find anything we didn’t like, but can I request a mixing bowl and baking dish in the kitchen for our next trip? My sister and I like to cook when we are together.

This place had everything we needed but the best is the accessibility to Main St. We could come back to the apartment and cool off and head back when we were ready to shop or eat again!

I really don’t expect much from an Airbnb type of booking, because I do look at photos and read descriptions and understand what I’m getting. However, in these photos, it did not show how unclean it was. So what I do expect at any place that I ever stay is for it to be clean. I did take photos and let the owner know and I also left a note for the cleaning service asking them to please deep clean for the next guest. There was a $40 cleaning fee within the booking charges so I’m not sure exactly what the $40 went towards when the place was extremely filthy. Here are a few examples of how the place was unclean and like I said, I did take photos and sent them to the owners. Also, we were only there for one night. The bathmat in the bathroom was hiding a decent amount of wet hair from previous guests and mold in the corner on the floor by the tub, baseboards in the bathroom were extremely stained and dusty. It was so dusty on many furniture surfaces that I was able to write words and have it be seen. There were many crumbs and spilled coffee grinds on the floor in the kitchen. And no, I did not make coffee or use the stove or the microwave at all during my stay. You could tell that sadly there is a lack of care in this place as I’m not sure how often the owners come back to take a look at it, however, if the owners do trust somebody to look after it, I suggest that they find somebody else. There are many things that need to be replaced, I understand that this has a certain Galena charm to it which I understand. However, for example, the burner plates for their stove are severely dirty, and it doesn’t take much money to replace those if they can’t be cleaned. The seal on the bathroom tub and the grout with the bathroom tiles was severely stained. Also, just a good deep clean would make the world of difference in this quaint and cozy place. Just small things like that would make a huge difference. And also not cost a lot of money.

The location of the property was fantastic! It was very easy to get to all the shops and restaurants. I didn’t have to move my car once and everything that I needed to get to was within three blocks. Bev, the owner, was gracious enough to let my daughters and I arrive early we really appreciated it as we were traveling from Chicago. She was great with communication as well. This was a Mother and daughters trip for one evening. My daughters are 11 and 12.

Obviously building is extremely old, and I am sure they did the best they could without breaking the bank with a professional remodel. I am a contractor btw. But to bill this as a "penthouse" is a serious stretch. 3rd floor 1 bedroom apartment on main Street with good access would be more appropriate.
