Minor thing but we didn’t receive the wifi password until the morning after our stay - apparently we should’ve received it by text message but we have international numbers so it didn’t come through, and the person who checked us in forgot to give it to us. Not a huge deal but it was a bit annoying not to have it overnight, it would be helpful for them to leave an information card in the room.

We were disappointed as to how small the room was. We basically had to live out of our suitcases over the two days we were there because there was no closet and minimal drawer or floor space. What was described as a balcony (on the main floor) was a porch that you had to step over sandbags to get to. The breakfasts were a single preset offering and there was no possibility of special requests. While 2 of the 3 staff members we encountered over the two days were genuinely warm and friendly, the person greeting us when we arrived did not make us feel overly welcome.

The location was the best part of the stay. The Inn is located a block away from a main street in the heart of San Luis Obispo. Holly and Kava were very pleasant staff members and the decor in the reception area was very warm and friendly. The bathroom was spacious and modern with a large shower area.

I wish that we could have opened more windows in our room; two of the three were painted shut. Also, the furniture in our suite could use a bit of an upgrade. I realize that what's there now kind of fits with the "old timey" vibe, but a larger and more comfortable sofa would be a big plus.

Very nice stay at the Garden Street Inn. Our room was comfortable, spacious, and clean. Liked that complimentary coffee, tea, and wine are usually available, along with the yummy cookies they put out in the afternoon. The location is perfect for seeing SLO downtown on foot. Parking was no problem at all; we were always able to park just two or three blocks away on Garden Street. Dining recos: Luna Red, Locanda, Buffalo, SLO Provisions - all excellent!

I love the look of the place and the downstairs library room. Very relaxing.

The woman making breakfast burned herself. So the first breakfast took a half an hour for the couple I was chatting with. I didn't order breakfast because of that.

Parking is on the street (metre until about 5pm); however, after 5pm, you can park FREE in the bank parking lot right next door (very secure / safe) as long as you leave by 9am. Otherwise, there's a city parking deck nearby. We've never had a problem.

Charming B&B with each room uniquely decorated. Lovely public library sitting area. Each morning, freshly breakfast and THE BEST cinnamon buns EVER! :-) It's our "go to" place when we cut our drive in half overnight between San Francisco and SoCal / Palm Springs.

The Heritage building was beautiful and the communal lounge with fireplace was nice for a family chat after a night out. The location was awesome, right in the heart of town.

The beds could be a bit more comfortable. The sink was hard to use, but they are trying to keep the vintage vibe, so I get it.

The breakfast was awesome. Light, but very satisfying and different. The pancakes on the last day of our stay were so good.

In an ideal world, parking would be slightly easier. Having said that, it wasn't nearly the challenge I thought it would be.

This is a charming property with a lot of character, situated conveniently to everything downtown SLO has to offer. Our room was very comfortable.

At check in we somehow missed our complementary champaign. Parking is more complicated than need be, just park in the bank lot next door and move your car in the morning.
