The breakfast was awesome -- the best I've had at any hotel. And in the evenings the hotel provided a beer get together with local beers. The staff was very accommodating, and van transportation was provided to where our cruise ship was docked.

Long walk from the downtown area.

Perfect location for our boat tour of the Kenai fiords. Nice bar and relaxing area. Very easy to store luggage for free.Walking distance from the train station.

I loved my stay here and the room and bathroom were spotless and well appointed. Location was great for closeness to the Fjord cruises as well as restaurants in walking distance. Shuttle service excellent for travelling further into town as well as the pick up for the coach back to Anchorage.

Though a new hotel it has a lot of interior noise and the floors in the bedrooms sound like an elephant is walking across them (even for a small person). For the price we were expecting something a little higher end, but this is very nice and clean and served our needs well.

Friendly staff, breakfast that featured vegan sausage on order, craft brewery pop-up in the evening. Location is terrific in general, but especially if you're taking a small boat excursion, as the small boat harbor is right across the street.

Sound carried through the walls a bit more than expected at a motel. A mirror in the bedroom area would be a nice addition!

The hotel is pristine and modern. The bed was outstandingly comfortable! The site said there was not wifi, but we had wifi and it worked fine. We had a situation the morning of our cruise, where we realized we should have been in Whittier, not Seward. The hotel manager actually called her husband to see if his rental car was free! It was not, but she helped us get a taxi to Whittier almost immediately. Seward was a fabulous town and the hotel is within walking distance to everything. The free breakfast was also good.

The cost of the room was average for the area. It did however dictate the length of stay.

Gateway is very clean and comfortable. It was built with practical standards. Easy check in. Very quiet and relaxing. Great location to amenities, shopping and sight seeing trips. Reasonably good breakfast free.

Great location for cruises! They tagged our bags right at the front desk to hold and transfer to the ship for us and they showed up on time at our rooms. We all walked to the cruise ship from the hotel, shopping, eating, and sightseeing along the way. It is perfect no matter what your show time is for your cruise. And the attached large restaurant area was perfect for our included breakfast and an area to play games at other times. Our room was basic but clean, nicely decorated, with everything we needed (no bathtub, only shower). They gave us an hour later for check in but we ended up not needing it since they could hold AND TRANSFER our bags…perfect for someone who wants to do an excursion. We were lucky they had this service because I had a hard time finding a taxi to take us to the ship…calling all taxi services on their provided list the night before. They also referred us to Red Eye Rides for transport from the airport to their hotel…the ONLY transport I found to get from the airport to Seward late in the afternoon the day before.

Location is a bit remote, but the city shuttle made getting to town center easy.

Staff was friendly. A valued amenity is the luggage transfer service provided by the hotel. This helped immensely as we were traveling with elderly.

Could have benefited from a few more toiletry items (swabs, cotton balls, extra bar soap) and more supplies in gift shop (cold medicine, ear plugs for road noise).

Very clean, the room was spacious. Beds were comfy, AC worked great.

It was a bit loud. Walls and floors were thin and you could hear a lot of neighbors noise. Internet was wicked slow.
