Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaThe location is perfect but I think the decoration is a bit old, the facilities inside the room are very good, including a separate toilet and shower room~ Next time I go to Miami, I will still choose this hotel!

United KingdomA little bit cold inside because of the air-conditioning and you can't do anything about it. The music is loud outside maybe because the neighbouring hotel has music too so you would hear that too if it would be less volume. The outside furniture is not very comfy.
Good location, nice pool. Next to the airport bus and beach.

United States of AmericaThe spring mechanism of the body wash dispenser in my room was broken. Although this was a minor issue, as I could still use it by manually pulling the nozzle, it did detract slightly from the otherwise excellent experience. However, this small inconvenience did not significantly impact my overall satisfaction with the stay.
I had a fantastic stay at the Generator Hotel in Miami Beach. The location is excellent, just a minute away from the beach in a quiet neighborhood, yet still within walking distance or a short bus ride to the lively Ocean Drive area. The staff, especially the receptionists, were very friendly and helpful. The rooms are beautifully designed with a minimalist aesthetic, and they were always clean. I particularly appreciated having a mini fridge in the room, which added to the convenience. Overall, this hotel offers great value for the price.

United States of AmericaWhat we didn’t like about the property. Was the walkway to the Villa through the pool. The Villa is where we stayed which we had a room with a king size bed and private bath. As soon as you exited the lobby and walked outside to the pool area, we smelled an aroma of sewage. I noticed perhaps it was because of the drains are right in the middle of the outdoor pool space. Me and my girlfriend never hung out by the pool, mostly because of the horrible smells that lingered around the pool area. Next downside we experienced during our stay was the door slamming. In the Villa there are two entrances (that I knew of). The one that was at the most rear of the property is void of this complaint. Every door, whether it was the entrance into the Villa or entrance into a room would slam very loudly and send vibrations through entire building at early hours of the morning and late hours in the night. Other people that stayed in the Villa didn’t have the consideration of other people staying there to gently guide the door to close softly to not disturb people. Of course the Generator should fix the door slamming or at the least put a sign up to kindly invite people to be gentle and considerate when it comes to open the door entrances to the Villa and their respected rooms to not disturb others staying there. Door slamming occurred daily during our stay here. At it was always early in the morning when we were still sleeping. It was like our unwanted alarm clock with multiple alarms. It offered startled my girlfriend. In the room we stayed in (#2202), the shower didn’t have a surface to place our soap and shampoo bottles. We kept our own soap and shampoo bottles on the floor of the shower which was an inconvenience. I noticed there were drill holes in the wall of the shower where a potential surface was installed to place soap and shampoo bottles, etc for bathing.
I traveled to Miami Beach from the Bay Area, CA to spend a few nights with my girlfriend. I chose the Generator because of its affordability, location, ambience, aesthetic & offer of privacy with a decent room instead of staying in dormitory. We really liked the overall feel and vibe of the entire place from walking into the lobby & making our way to the Villa in the back of the property to go to our room. Music in the lobby & pool side added to a pleasurable experience at the hotel. Staff was always very friendly and helpful with fulfilling requests and answering questions 100% of the time. Staff was very kind and helpful. Parking was easy. I seen lots of reviews of people saying parking was hard to find and/or too expensive. There’s no parking on the property itself, but tons of paid street parking, or paid parking lots available. Front desk was super helpful in advising where and how to park. We chose to pay for valet at AC hotel for $30 per night. It was two minute walk from hotel. Overall I was happy with our stay. Had some slight annoyances that I’ll kindly mention as well, that if improved it would have elevated our experience so much. Thank you Generator and staff.
