Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaAbsolutely nothing.
This little cabin was just perfect. We loved seeing the goats, chickens, ducks and bunnies. There was a beautiful stream running right in front of the property. It felt totally private though there were were other cabins close by. It was so much better than choosing a hotel for our stay.

United States of AmericaThe road into the farm was a bit bumpy, but we thought it was a fun part of the adventure. Just go slow and it will be fine!
The villa was so clean, comfortable and cute. The farm as a whole was peaceful. There were plenty of pillows and blankets, the villa felt secure and perfect for our family girl trip.

United States of AmericaNo kitchen but that’s to be expected when booking!
We loved staying at Gingershack Farms! The location is private and well maintained. We had our kids so they had fun building boats to float down the river, meeting the farm animals, playing in the creek and making a fire. The cabins were modern and clean and beds comfortable. The owners were very friendly and responsive! Location was close to Ellijay, apple picking, hiking and tubing. We had a blast and appreciate this special little gem in the mountains!

United States of AmericaAmazing experience. Russ went out of his way to ensure our large trailer got through the narrow roads leading up to the farm without a scratch. Not only was the hospitality above and beyond, but the atmosphere at the farm was perfect. Our cabin was beautiful and clean and the farm added an extra layer of fun. Our kids made friends with an adorable mini goat named William!

United States of AmericaThis is an easy 5 star rating. The hosts were beyond exceptional. We hosted our Girls Trip of 25 for the weekend and everyone enjoyed spending time on the property. The hosts were very friendly. They helped with taking pictures and even helped us cook our hotdogs. The cabins are immaculate!! Everyone was so impressed by the decor. All the ladies agreed that we should come back every year. Some plan on coming back with their families. So if you are looking for a wonderful place to stay in the mountains, look no further because Gingershack Farms is an awesome place to relax and have a wonderful time! My family and I will be returning. Oh and my son came up to bring the grandkids to tell me bye before they went back to Arizona and the gkids had a ball for the couple of hours they were there. They loved the chickens, goats, swing set and running around playing. Believe me when I say, you will not be disappointed. This place is a hidden gem. Thanks for everything and look forward to visiting again.

United States of AmericaNot really anything we didn’t like about our stay. We did suggest an extra mirror for ones getting ready while someone is occupying bathroom. 😅 If planning to do meals, just remember that it’s a dorm size refrigerator and microwave in each cabin so you can plan accordingly. They do have grills and fire pits.
We absolutely LOVED this place and the owners who live on the property. The cabins are beautiful and meet the highest hotel cleanliness standards. Everything looks and smells so clean. There’s a beautiful creek that runs alongside the cabins with a little waterfall that kids can play in. There are lots of little extras like soap, shampoo, conditioner dispensers IN THE SHOWER, dish soap, laundry detergent pods, coffee pods, hairdryer, towels, make up remover towelettes, etc. When we needed anything, the owners were a text away and right there to help. Excellent care and customer service. Excellent communication. Pay attention to directions and take the extra 3 minutes to go to Ellijay and then up to cabin. otherwise, you are traveling over the mountain and using your brakes coming down. 😜 Very convenient to town, 20min away, and other fun activities with Dahlonega being nearby. Such a peaceful, restful, and beautiful place to stay. We rented 3 cabins for 15 of us and it was perfect and better price than a mediocre hotel! Highly recommend. Planning our next trip! Thanks Russ and Tonya, our newfound friends!

United States of Americawhen we arrived there was a truck parked in the front of our cabin and with the location in the woods I was a little nervous (I watch a lot of true crime and scary movies). i wish there was a small stove. overall these were small things and it will not stop me from staying again or recommending it to anyone else
it was peaceful and beautiful. The cabin itself was very nice and clean. i loved that the queen bed was an adjustable bed, i have a bad back and so that was a pleasant surprise. the WiFi was wonderful! I wasn’t expecting that either since it is located in the woods. i have no complaints about this property.

United States of AmericaIf you are looking for quiet, out of the way escape to north Georgia within striking distance of Ellijay, this is for you. My wife and I visited for our anniversary and had a wonderful weekend. The cabin is on a working farm with bunnies and chickens. My wife and I enjoyed sitting on the park bench reading by the creek and listening to the sound of silence. The cabins are brand new and the furnishing are quite modern. The bed was fully adjustable which was a unique find for a hotel stay, so if you have ever considered getting an adjustable bed but didn't know what it would be like, this is a good opportunity to test out the sleeping positions. While there were others staying in other cabins, we never heard them and we felt like we had the whole mountain to ourselves. We also never heard a rooster, so you don't have to worry about an impromptu alarm waking you up. The owners were delightful and very accomodating. We are looking forward to returning with our daughter so she can pet the bunnies and play in the creek.

United States of AmericaThere is nothing we did not like.
Gingershack Farms surpassed all of our expectations! The cabin was modern, clean, comfortable, and nestled beautifully in the woods. The location is perfect. It was just far enough from Ellijay to not be around traffic during the Apple Festival, but just close enough where it was an easy drive to town for dinner. Russ was such a kind and gracious host. He thoughtfully interacted with our 2 toddlers and even let them meet his goats, dogs, ducks, and chickens. We are eager to plan another trip to Gingershack Farms in the Spring and again next Fall!
