Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaEverything was amazing, what’s not to adore about a stunning space, ocean views, and a fantastic staff? You’re going to never want to leave—but the good news is that you can walk to whatever you want to do or see in Venice.
If you are obsessed with Gjelina and Gjusta, you will be obsessed with their hotel. It’s as gorgeous as you’d expect, you can see the ocean from the rooftop patio, and the staff is gracious and phenomenal. Plus, they give you a voucher for coffee and pastries at Gjusta every morning! Once people catch on to what they’ve got going here, they’ll be booked solid so reserve your stay now before you can’t get a spot.

United KingdomThis was not an issue, but a suggestion, the balcony has loads of comfy sofas and loungers, but a few tables and chairs would be welcomed, for those that want to take a sea-view breakfast outside or catch up on a bit of work. This does not detract fram the amazing apartment, but would be a really nice added bonus
Beautiful apartment, very well decorated and the location was perfect, less than 60 seconds from the beach, but being one block back, far less busy. The staff were extra friendly and really went out their way to help. We arrive at 7am, they looked after our bags and even arranged for a free coffee and pastry at a local bakery. You get great views of the beach and see from the wrap around balcony, and whilst there is a bar just the other side of the road, we didn't hear much, and all was quiet after 11pm (if you are looking for tranquil silence, Venice Beach is not the place to go, no matter where you go, there is hustle and bustle) it was just a great place to stay, thanks all. (PS for all you Brits, there is a kettle!!!!!!! with milk tea and coffee provided)

NetherlandsThe corridor can get a little bit noisy in the evening and mornings, when people go out or come in.
Very conveniently located hotel, a few steps from the Venice Beach promenade and walking distance from a number of nice restaurants, cafes and shops. Ylu are really at the heart of the Venice Beach area. The rooms are small, but cosy, very clean and furnished with a lot of attention and style. The staff is friendly and very helpful. I forgot a piece of garment and they went the extra mile to ship it to me at my next location. The breakfast is in a very nice cafe with a sunny terrace and a large range of very good pastries and sandwiches.

United States of AmericaThe breakfast was fantastic, you'll get a voucher for Gjusta, personally, I think it's Venice's best breakfast and lunch place. My friend and I stayed for 9 days and had a queen-sized room, beautiful rooms, the staff was so lovely and they upgraded us to an apartment suite. Made our trip! The room was stunning, in a great location, and within walking distance of all the best local restaurants. and places. I highly recommend if you want to have an upscale local experience stay in Venice. A must-stay place! I'll for sure, stay here next time I am back in LA.

North MacedoniaI missed some slippers and some coffee and tea in the room.
The location of the hotel was amazing, 20 seconds walk and you were right on the Broadwalk and the beach. The hotel is new, nice and cute. The room are a little bit small, but for one person they were perfect. The bed was super comfortable, all the linens, towels and rope were organic. The room was furnished with high end soap, conditioner, body wash, hand wash and body lotion. The room had heating which you could control and adjust the temperature. The room was clean and the housekeeping were there every morning. The staff of the hotel and especially Eric were very friendly, helpful and kind. The hotel offers you a free coffee and croissant at Gjusta, which was three blocks away. Delicious croissant and the best cappuccino is Venice. I asked the hotel staff for a tea, and they brought to my room a kettle, some tea, and a cup. Best choice of hotel in Venice, for people who like the beach and want to walk the area. I had my best experience in Venice and can't wait to go back.

United States of AmericaThe room could use paper towels, regular size drinking glasses, a television, a microwave, a wine/champagne cork, and perhaps sugar packets and creamer. And maybe a larger size rubbish can for the rooms that are to accommodate 4-5 people.

United KingdomPrior to arriving in the US, I found it tricky to track down a phone number to contact the property. From what I remember it took a while for the hot water to get going but the team did look into this and try to fix it whilst I was there. Some nights there was a bit of an odour in the room but I think this was connected with a wider issue with the street. Also, worth flagging I went during their soft launch phase. I really enjoyed my stay, so none of these were deal breakers for me (and I have pretty high standards) and I honestly think it was because of the approach of the team at Vittorja. I could tell they were doing everything to make the experience as wonderful as possible for all their guests. Some issues but nothing that would warrant me not returning
Everything! I booked a room at Vittorja (the same folks behind Gjusta and Gjelina in Venice) and they generously upgraded me to an apartment. The space is gorgeous and the materials used are of a high quality. It’s chic and minimal yet imbued with character. The owners are smart - they plug you into their world by providing Gjusta produce including 1 complimentary loaf, olive oil, za’atar salt and an abundance of teas within the kitchen of the apartment. Breakfast was also served off site at Gjusta (about 8 mins walk) - some people might find this inconvenient but I actually really enjoyed the daily walk to get my pastry and drink. I loved the bathrobe - a collab between Vittorja and Simone Fan. Oh, and I was also obsessed with the Sangre de Fruta products they had in the bathrooms!

United KingdomThe single room was quite small, but not uncomfortably small.
The hotel is located close to the beach but not close enough to have issues with noise. The hotel manager went out of his way to be helpful. They provided a complimentary coffee and pastry at their bakery nearby, but I would recommend exploring the menu at the bakery further as the breakfasts are delicious. Room was clean with good quality finishes and bedding.

United States of AmericaThere is not a thing I would complain about here. If you wanna be in Venice, this is a great option. Again, no complaints and a great one night stay for me.
Their property is connected to a great restaurant and hospitality group. I got upgraded to a suite because the guy knew I was tired and couldn't check into my room early. The space itself was gorgeous and so near the beach.
