Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaI think we had one of the older rooms that had not yet been refurbished. The carpet was old and stained and the shower was dismal. Maybe from the 70's? That bathroom was marginal at best. I did glance into some of the other rooms that looked much more updated. And for some reason, the tap water had a metal taste. Very bad! Drink only bottled water there. Also, there is no breakfast offered but an amazing Italian restaurant onsite.
The hotel staff was very nice. I had made a request to have a downstairs room because we were bringing our bikes with us. They were not able to give us a downstairs room, but did allow us to store our bikes in the event center that was not being used that weekend. That was super helpful to us! The hotel has a lot of character and history and we enjoyed learning about that. The bed was very comfortable and the room was quiet even when the hotel was full. The air conditioner worked great too. The hotel is located across the street from the old train station, so we enjoyed pedaling the railbikes through the orange groves on the old railroad. We love anything bike oriented.

United States of AmericaThe rooms were nice and big, but our bed in particular was so soft we had very uncomfortable nights sleeping. The mattress folded in when you sat in it so sleeping wasn’t easy. Also our room had a layer of dust on top of all the light fixtures frames and door ways, it could have had a good wipe down
Glen Tavern Inn was a great place to stay. The staff were all very friendly, the restaurant and food were amazing and the little bar had a great Happy Hour. A fun experience

United States of AmericaLoved the dinner choices and the meals were delicious. Also having a pianist playing next to our table was a special treat The staff when we checked in were just so personable and helpful. Loved that we could play cards right in front of the fireplace. We sure enjoyed celebrating our 39th Anniversary there.

A nice historic hotel in the center of small town Santa Paula. We particularly enjoyed talking to the bartender, an experience of its own. The room was nice and tidy. The area is clean and safe.

United States of AmericaAs with any old building, there are some quirks. But nothing to hamper our enjoyment of this lovely inn.
A historic inn, beautiful and fascinating inside and out. Plus some welcome modern conveniences like air conditioning. Our dinner at the on-site Italian restaurant was delicious.

United KingdomThe parking sign was hard to see when driving and we ended up going past a few times. The curtains in the room also let a lot of light in- need black out curtains.
We loved the decor in the lobby and corridors. We did take a peek on the 3rd floor as we were in a ground room. Loved the spooky feel but we didn't encounter any ghosts during our stay (thankfully!) The hotel was a short walk from the centre which was good for eating out.

United States of AmericaThe small door entrance is at the back of the building near the trash and parking area. The door is locked, so to get in you have to walk around the large lot and building to get to the front entrance which clearly states the entrance is at the back.

United States of AmericaBeds were a bit soft and the bathroom (particularly the shower) was very small.
The hotel was built in the early 1900's so it had a lot of charm and definitely different than the formulaic designs of today.
